My first post. Just trying to attach a photo.
My new 2016 JK 75A GCM. Picked it up, 2hrs away. Drove through a snow storm from Red Deer to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Icy highways and a strong cross wind, this baby performed awesome.

Ask your dealer to order you one while they are in stock. I assume someday they will not be.

Here is a decent video showing how to DIY the trim, pretty straight forward.

When I get a chance and it warms up, I'll install it and try to get a picture of the whole dash.
That's awesome, thanks. For that kind of money, it's not even worth finding the paint code, and painting the black one.

@usmc Mike: Do you know what the list price on that bezel was? And can you confirm that the part number is "1TE64LS5AB" please? The "L" looks funny on the picture you attached. The best price I can find it for is about $79 (with a list price of $102). That's about twice what you paid. I really like it for $36, so I'm curious if maybe your dealership offers some kind of special discount for their customers? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Regards,

Bob~

PS: I love your Jeep - it looks awesome!

@Devilldawgg and @rcosika

Here is a picture of the invoice and the part # on the box and invoice. I'm pretty tight with the service crew and the transaction was one of those moments where the parts guy just seemed fine to hand it to me. He even wondered if the dealership was paying for it, to which I said I would. But the List price is clearly 37.60 on the invoice.

Having said that I do remember someone at the dealership saying it was $100 at some point. Maybe they just through the dealer price in the system as favor.

Maybe I got lucky and it's an error.

But perhaps you can show your dealer the picture of the invoice and ask why our list is $37.60 or use it as leverage to get a better price. I wouldn't suggest calling my dealer as perhaps that might get someone in trouble!

Sorry I think I missed this. I'm using:

Bushwacker Wrangler 14013 (07-17 Wrangler JK) - Free Shipping

It's pretty expensive for plastic, however they fit great and they stuck on very well. Once I pressed down on the hoot protector it conformed to the hood contours and never lifted again.

A couple tips. Do it in the sun when over 70 degrees and perhaps make sure the plastic is warmer the air. It JUST fits, so you need to really line it up well and use some zen-like skills to fit it. A helper would help. If you start from one side and push up and in from the edge it gets to wear it needs to be.

Also I think I trimmed (or could have) a tiny bit off the edge but I can't remember. It looks like it wont fit but you bend the edge and the shape conforms to the corners of the hood. It looks nice, protects the front edge of the hood and works very well to direct every bug right to your windshield!

It should as the salesman who gave me the idea had the same part installed in his JKU. It also looks exactly the same when I hold them next to each other. Having said that, may not be a bad idea to wait until I get it in before you order one. My plan is later this week, at the latest.

Somebody might have already answered this but I was curious if the 75th Anniversary 2017 MY came with the new OEM LED headlights and fog lights? If not that would be a shame because they are a vast improvement over the halogens as people are finding out.

The reason for the lower price is the invoice is for an earlier part number (1TE62LS5AB) which has superseded to 1TE64LS5AB and is now more expensive.

Little girl loves and the install was easy - On my JKU the middle body bolts and the passenger rear bolt where tricky to get off. Once the bolts start feeling like they are not going to come out - I had my son ratchet while I pulled down on the bolts and they came out. Had I known that going in install would have been really quick.

I got mine from Elevated Offroad and a 10% forum discount.

Does your dealer have any more of these? Can't get them for anywhere near that price around me.

No they special ordered it for me from Mopar - sorry bud! As @Grizzloonly said, it seems I lucked out and they invoiced me on an old part number/version and gave me the current part. Don't know if they were taking care of me or made a mistake, but I'll take the discount. I bring them a couple cases of beer every time they work on the Jeep.

How does 2017 have anything to do with the 75th anniversary year? 2016 was the 75th anniversary, right?

I believe all 75thA JKs are manufactured in the anniversary year (2016).

That's why you could not buy a 75th early in 2016 model year since production did not start until Jan 2016. I believe production has now ended for 75thA, so inventory is what's out there. But I may be wrong.

@USMCmike : Thank you very much for the update!

I am anxious to see how you installation goes and how it looks on your rig. The picture makes it seem more of a gold color, whereas my interior trim seems more champagne in color. If the color is correct, however, it could be a nice upgrade.

Thanks for posting the information - I wasn't questioning your price, really, I just wanted to make sure I had the right part number (since most of the online descriptions are limited and don't have pictures).

Please post some pics when you get it installed! Thanks again!

Regards,

Bob~

+1

Jeep considers that their 75th anniversary year is the full 2016 calendar year.

Front Bumper Plastic Insert

Hi All. I am new to the forum and just purchases a 2016 75A JKU with the bronze front and rear Rubi bumpers. The dealer drilled holes in the black plastic of the front bumper to attach the license plate frame. However, I am in Indiana and can run without it. The holes are pretty big and the plastic has pulled-out of the insert around the holes. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement plastic insert? I have searched high and low on the internet. Or, has anyone installed a winch and no longer need that part? Happy to buy it. Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to just buy the winch plate cover (I think it's officially called the closeout plate) from the 75a front bumper? I'm wanting to buy a 10a front bumper, but don't want the "Rubicon" branded plate since I have a Willys...
Did you have any luck? In that same boat.

Did you buy from a dealer in Indiana? If so, seems they should have more commonsense and should be on the hook to replace. If not, maybe you could still complain to the dealer (nicely!) and ask that they replace the part. I assume they would know that you were an out of state purchaser? Good luck!

Unfortunately, I bought used out-of-state. Still trying to get the dealership to assist, but may have to bite the bullet and purchase an insert. Rubitrux offered to sell me the "Rubicon" insert for $135. Not really interested in cross-branding the vehicle. Thanks for the response!
