Advantages of new head unit

I've got a '16 JKU HR and I really like it with one exception -- the head unit (mainly the iPhone integration and Bluetooth quality). I've used the forum to select my lights, winch, etc. -- thinking you might be able to help with this too.

I want the following -- can I get it somehow in a single solution (e.g., a new head unit). I appreciate my 730n already does some of this just fine.

(1) iPhone address book synchs when I get in the car
(2) Lightning charge cable provides direct Spotify feed to head unit
(3) Turn-by-turn directions feed to speaker
(4) Using Spotify is fast and reliable -- no issues finding device
(5) I can engage Siri or Google Now on my iPhone to do things like say, 'Get directions to XYZ' and it will provide nav on my head unit with turn-by-turn
(6) I can control a rear-view camera EITHER in reverse or on command -- such as what is possible with this unit on the normal 730n (

Basically -- I'm looking for something that offers an improved experience with the latest iPhone / iOS, plus the ability to do (6) above.

Is there a significant advantage to going to a new head unit? I am very happy with the Alpine speaker set up and have no desire to make other audio-related modifications.

They might as well create a headunit that is nothing more than and LCD monitor with miracast or some type of mirroring screen functionality, most people would probably prefer to just use their phone to handle everything else.

Sounds like you need one of the Pioneer NEX series of head units. They have both Apple Car Play and Android Auto, just be sure to run USB cables from both USB1 and USB2 on the rear of the HU. Car Play uses one while Android Auto uses the other. As a bonus you'll also get vastly better sound thanks to the 13 band EQ and DSP for time alignment.
