Very nice. Will this work in conjunction with Bestop Sunrider for hardtop or Webasto Throwback Sunrider?

There is definitely a 2 Door version in the works, just hang on a while! And yes it will work with Sunriders and Freedom Panels!

Very Nice! In honor of this rollout I think you should offer your Mid Width Signature Series front bumper for 1/2 off??

Pricing has not been figured yet, we are still finalizing the manufacturing. Here in the next few weeks we'll have prototypes off the production processes. We'll have a better idea then. Weights and specs will be competitive with other racks.

Looks good. How does the rear of the rack install? Will it require drilling into the body or does it mount between the tub and top? Will there be tabs for lights/light bars?

Definitely keeping an eye out on this one......

After looking at the renderings it appears it will mount to the body around the rear tail lights. Similar to the old version. You will have to drill holes in the body.

Thanks. The drilling may be a deal breaker for me.

Hey Jeepers! Sorry for the delay, but we have been working long and hard to get this roof rack ready for production! We’re making good progress on the Jeep JKU, just need to tidy up a few details and accessories, and hope to start on the production jigs next week. So it won’t be long now! We’re still shooting for late spring early summer for the JKU, and mid to late summer for the JLU version. Stay tuned for more release info and photos! Questions and comments are always welcome!

And in case you missed the announcement. Here is a quick video with a few more pictures! Check it out and let us know what you think. We're doing some load testing over the next few days and hope to have some numbers soon.

Will you be able to take the soft top up and down with the rack in place (assuming you slide it out before attempting)?

All New LOD Destroyer Series Roof Rack

How much weight can be on the rack and still allow it to slide fully open?

It creates a nice shade when it’s open. Have you considered creating a line of accessories that would work with it as a shade? Like bug net sides or sold fabric sides for a changing room? Or drop down stabilizer legs that you could mount things on like a cantilever table or lights or even sling a hammock between?

Absolutely! The main purpose of the LOD Sliding Roof Rack is to allow you to put your soft top up or down without having to unload the roof rack or remove it! There is no other rack on the market that provides this functionality.

Sliding the rack out and using it as a sunshade is a huge plus! And YES we do have a lot of ideas for accessories, legs and awnings are definitely on the list! And if you have any other great ideas, feel free to share them!

No other roof rack on the market can allow Full Use of the soft top, the Sunrider position, and also allow you to remove the hardtop without removing the whole rack!

In order to put the soft top up and down, the frame of the rack has to be slightly wider than the the soft top. The widest part of the rack is the rear hoop where it mounts by the taillight, it is only slightly wider than the taillight housing, maybe an inch.

As an owner of another rack, this qualifies as a "big deal" to me. I love Sunrider so mode so much that I frequently go to the trouble of uninstalling the deck/rear support pillars of my rack, leaving in place the light bar and bumper mounts. This new LoD rack looks mighty tasty.

All I know is that they need to hurry up with production, I need a rack before the end of June, and need more pics to make up my mind.
