Any way to get live traffic on the 430N?

That would make the system complete for me, especially since I use it to commute every day.

Travel Link will not get you traffic on the 430N. It gets you travel stuff like weather, sports, local gas prices, etc.

Traffic is NOT available for the 430N. I learned this the hard way after I had a 430N installed on my last JKU. Even Sirius kept telling me the 430N supported traffic but it does not. They kept trying to send me the link for it and it never worked. I researched it after several attempts and found out that model doesn't support it.

I now have a 2013 Rubicon 2 Door now and I am waiting for the 730N to be installed in a couple of weeks. The 730N supports traffic. Our other vehicle is a Grand Cherokee with a 730N and it is awesome. Redirects you when it sees a traffic jam coming up and will keep redirecting you until you are out of a jam.

Well when I bought the 2013 JK with 430n I have read online it comes with Garmin navigation and real time traffic...Well according to the Uconnect website it says it does.

But of course when I got the JK there is no traffic. Blah!

Uconnect® | Systems | 2013 Jeep Wrangler 430N/RHB

Under 'Navigation' tab:
Garmin® GPS

Uconnect® has partnered with Garmin® GPS to bring you one of the most advanced navigation systems in the world. Well-designed maps help you slip through traffic while merging, turning, and avoiding traffic. While audio directions and voice recognition provide sensory-assisted navigation.

I have the 730 and in NY, travelink is ok at best. If you have a smartphone, get the traffic.com app. It is MUCH more useful, especially in the NY area. I always check it before I leave the house so I know what to avoid.

I have an external Garmin which receives traffic alerts. They are usually behind by at least 30 minutes. These would be the same alerts you get on a 730 unit. I found them to be useless. I now listen to the radio or use the traffic.com app which is much better.
