Anyone have cloth seat covers?

Just ordered neoprene seat covers however I got an ad from Quadratec for Tecstyle custom fit cloth seat covers... I’m going for comfort, so I’m considering going with the cloth seat covers instead of neoprene.. idc about performance because honestly I never take the top / doors off if there’s any chance of rain and I have no pets or anything that’ll really mess up my original seats. The only reason I’m getting seat covers is to maintain the original seats for when I eventually sell the Jeep.

So, in short, are cloth seat covers nice? Should I get & use cloth seat covers instead of neoprene ones?

Here’s the seat covers I’m looking at btw

Thanks!

Neoprene would be the last seat cover material I would use, but that's my opinion. Neoprene traps sweat and oils produced by our bodies. They can get funky. So, if you go that route, you may need to wash them more often, if they are washable.

When I owned my Wrangler, I went straight for Bartact seat covers, but they are pricey.

And on top of it trapping the sweat and oils I heard that it also makes you sweat more just from sitting on it so it’s basically lose-lose. I used to have Bartact but I didn’t like how rough they felt (although very, very durable and waterproof!). Thank you for your post!

I am running Coverking Ballistic seat covers in my 2012 JK. I have had them for five years and they are holding up great they are made from Cordura. They look nice, are tuff as nails and easy to clean. They have a few different styles.

I am also not a fan of Neoprene it is very uncomfortable.
I’ll look into those. Thanks for your reply!

These look very similar to ones I have. Mine were Amazon-sourced two years ago for very nearly the same price.
I prefer non-neoprene as in addition to the comfort factor, the neoprene covers require care and feeding just like a wetsuit.
I just completed a near-cross-country trip: Florida to northern New Mexico and return. All told, there was a bit over 57 hours of seat time. I did 12 hour days each way and got just a bit warm; however, the covers weren’t too bad, even in the 108° temps of Texas.

Oh yeah, I should have also added that I had wire mesh car seat pads in my first car: A 1966 Chevy Corvair with vinyl seats and no AC in Florida. The mesh pads were a big help and I was fondly remembering them while traversing Texas…

I may invest in one to keep in the garage for use on hot days when I want to run with all of the windows down. Minimal top-down days as I don’t want to be baked alive in direct sun.

Based on your just wanting to protect the stock seats, I think those Tec style covers would be fine and will look good. I added a cheap set to a '90 Chevy 1/2 ton for the same reason, and when I sold it the seats looked great.

I spent the money on Bartact, but have no plans to sell my JK anytime soon. Three years old now and still look great, but as stated earlier they are not cheap.
