ARB Rear Bumper & Tire Carrier

Anyone have experience with this combo? I stopped by their office today and they let me take a look at it. It seems to be very well designed and built. Only con that I can see besides the price ($1500) is that it weighs in at about 175 lbs.

239 views and one reply.... ARB must not be one of the "in" brands for bumpers.

Interesting, that is what ARB told me also. I really like the look of bumper/tire carrier and may have to pull the trigger.

ARB has a great name and they're known for quality. I think you'd be really happy with their set up. Let me know if you do decide to pull the trigger on an ARB Bumper and Tire Carrier and I'll get you a great deal!

I just installed one last week. It took me awhile but I'm a 60 year old grandma and I did it without any help. It's very solid and like Craig said, it doesn't rattle. I have a 35" Trail Grappler mounted on it. XTRyan got me a very good deal!

Anyone have pics of the rear ARB bumper install or know where I can get a PDF of the instructions? I bought a hardly used one today. It had no hardware or instructions. I want to get it done right.

$1500 for a bumper and tire carrier is really high IMO. Barricade trail force rear bumper and tire carrier is $749, Smittybilts is $799, and Olympics is $499. All are really well made, sturdy, weigh less, and cost less. Food for thought.

I have the ARB front and rear bumpers but opted to go with a Teraflex tire carrier system instead. Just wanted a tighter tire to tail gate fit. ARB products are WORLD CLASS and have been PROVEN on every continent in the world. Other brands might be cheaper sure, but there is a reason ARB and to a lessor extent AEV are chosen world over. Quality is never cheap, buy once cry one.

Hivedr is correct, you can't really compare a Smittybuilt or Barricade with a high end bumper.

I think you can. There will always be more exspensive that does the same as cheaper. Apples and oranges.

To each their own, I have friends with cheap rear bumpers/tire carriers and they didn't install cleanly and rattle over rough terrain. I'll pass.

Do you lose the stock tow hitch if you get the rear bumper? I wasn't sure since the picture doesn't show a tow hitch.

It depends on the manufacturer, with this one you don't.

Thanks Razer. I'm planning to get the front ARB bumper but wasn't sure on the rear since I don't want to lose my stock tow hitch. Since the ARB rear bumper can accommodate the tow hitch, then I roll with matching rear ARB bumpers too.

Got any pictures from the side? How much does the bumper weigh? Just the bumper.

I'm glad I could get you hooked up with a great deal and that the install went easy enough for you! Let me know if you need anything else and I'll get you set up with a great price!

I got the bumper and carrier. Have not installed them yet. Bumper is sitting in garage but it looks nice. Nice finish, clean welds. Carrier is back ordered so still waiting for it to get here. Holding off installation until carrier arrives.

Before I made my purchase I had trouble getting answers to that very question. Not too many people on the forums had install details. I plan on doing a tutorial with pics when I install mine in a couple of weeks. I know that does not help you today.

I got pdf installation manual for both pieces directly from ARB. Could not find them anywhere online. Shoot me a PM and I would be happy to send them your way. Or tell me how to post them somewhere here on the forum.

Very nice, thanks for the pics!!! I like that it comes with the 3rd brake "extender", and I think they also carry a license plate holder so you can mount it on the spare.
