August Incentives on 2011 Wranglers?

From other posts I've gathered that 2011 pricing should be at least $3,500 off MSRP at this point. But the dealers that I have been talking to won't go much lower than $600 off after applying the Tread Lightly 2% + $1,000 cash rebate.

Any chance that Chrysler will begin offering dealer coupons or some other factory-to-dealer rebate to help get the 2011s off the lot?

I would really appreciate it if one of the dealers on this forum would report back if they have heard of anything coming soon. Also, I'm open to dealership referrals in the Northeast if anyone has had a good buying experience.

Thanks!

Most "e-prices" I see are around $5,000 off MSRP. Take another $1,000 off if you pay cash and don't use the 0%. This is the most you should pay.

The $1,000 rebate I mentioned above was in reference to paying cash. Is there anything else? All the internet prices that I've seen include rebates that you have to qualify for like being in the military, already owning a Chrysler, or having a lease. When I actually talk to the dealership, the internet price jumps up $2,000.

You need to read the the TL program for pricing. It's 1% below invoice, then add back in a $75 fee. it sounds like you are saying dealers are only taking 2% off MSRP. That's just not right.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant that dealers are willing to honor the Tread Lightly 2% below invoice and the $1,000 cash rebate on top of that. But after those discounts, they are only willing to go another $600 into their holdback for 2011 Wrangler Sports. Is there really no room for more negotiation?

I heard reports of people getting the Tread Lightly 2% and an additional $500 off on 2012 orders...

Invoice is $26,500:

- 2% Tread Lightly discount ($530)
- $1,000 cash rebate
- $600 holdback
= $2130 off invoice

My final price is $24,370. Now, if my MSRP is $27,500, this is only $3,130 off MSRP. Is this a good deal considering it's August 1 and the 2012s are arriving on the lot this month?

TL, as it's written, is 1% below invoice (+$75 fee) - not 2%.
If you're getting 2% + another $600, then that's more than 4% below invoice + the $1000 rebate which brings it to about 8% below invoice. I think it's a pretty good deal.
You should look that % off of MSRP rather than the $ amount as the amount should be based on the model. The $ amount off of MSRP for a 2dr base Sport would be much less than a fully loaded Unl Rubi.

Yes it's an excellent price. You're talking 12-13 percent of msrp for a vehicle that is still in it's current model year. You can do better if you wait a few months and if any are left with options you would like.

Im looking at the following jeep http://www.jeep.com/hostc/getWindowS...BA6H17BL624864

Before sitting down at the dealer how can i determine what the invoice price is? I was assuming it would be about $32100 after options should be about 33930.

If i am doing this correctly after $1000 and maybe getting the full 2% and assuming a $500 HB I should be at 32500 which is about 8.5% below MSRP I think this would be a good deal or does anyone think I could maybe get them lower

I got 1600 off invoice plus 0% for 60 months(which ended 7/31) Around here I was lucky to get the 1600 off, had to really work for it. They really don't want to deal as they sell almost as fast as they get them on the lot!

MSRP for our Sahara was $39,900K. Wife had to have every option known to man on this thing. We ended up getting it for $28,900. We got $5K for a trade in, another $1K being a previous Jeep owner (trade in was an '02 Liberty), and another $5K off during the 'negotiation' process. Overall, I felt pretty good about the whole thing. Having a car payment after 6 years in the clear sucked though. My son will be 16 in ten years. This will be his first car. Lucky him!
