Backup Cameras - Garmen NAV

Has anyone installed a Garmin BC 30 Wireless camera on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I wondering where to put the camera, the instruction state to attaches it to the Lic Plate, but that may not be the best spot due to the Spare tire.. any suggestion on installation of Camera an wireing is appreciated.

Most will install a camera using a spare tire mount or by drilling a hole in the rear bumper below the spare.

If you use the spare tire mount, there's an open grommet on the tailgate that you can pass the wiring through. If you use the bumper, you can use one of the body drain plug locations to get into the vehicle.

You can use a shelf bracket from Home Depot(.99cent) and bolt to the top of the spare tire bracket, and bolt the camera to it. my works really well, and looks like the 200.00 dollar bracket people sell. The first one I didn't like the way it looked so I got another one and made the adjustment, looks good and works well...

Do you have a picture of the bracket you are talking about? Interested in moving my camera from my bumper to the spare tire bracket location.

I bought two brackets so I could play with it to get it right, at 99 cents you can't go wrong, the second one I got the bend right. one camera bolts to the hole I drilled and the flush mount straps with shrink wire wrap to the bracket, and the bracket gets self tapping screws to mount to the top of the tire carrier

showing the bolt on camera, the piece in the background is the CB ant.
The pic is upside down!!!

Thanks everyone, I actually mounted it to the License Plate after trying a few options and passed the wire thru the Lic. Plate light. With a little bit of adjusting to the guidelines it works great. Also I was able to keep my spare tire cover on. I am interested in how this mount looks from a distance, Tomstone17 - Do you still have the a tire cover on?
