That's pretty good, although the whole ball deflating is kind of silly. What happens when you fill up your tires when its 70 degrees then bring it out into 30 degree weather? They drop around 1psi every 10 degrees...

Strange that it seemed to only happen with NE's balls. Each teams has their own set of balls that they use when on offense.

Except they're the only team with this problem.

Also after the rule about visiting teams' footballs was changed (in part due to Brady's request to the league) the Pat's fumble rate dropped almost in half while the rest of the league stayed the same.

My stock rubi tires fluctuate as much as 3 PSI due to temp.

Only one of 12 footballs were 2 PSI down, the rest were just slightly under the min. Easily explained by rubbing the balls to scuff them up which would obviously heat them, and then bringing them outside in a winter game. This whole this is so stupid.

It will happen with any football in a cold climate, not just New England.

Difference being the Patriots balls were all under-inflated and none of the colts were. Your theory all twenty-four would be under-inflated. Not saying this caused the Colts to lose, just the facts so far. It wasn't like the Patriots were recording any practices or anything....

Lots of reasons.... the Colts were smart enough to know to compensate (someone on the team actually passed Physics). The Colts filled and measured their balls outdoors to begin with (Hay, you, go outside if you're going to be doing that).

I have a theory about this, I've come to understand the footballs are acceptable anywhere between two pressures a min and a max. If both teams filled there footballs in the same room at the same temp but the colts ball filler fills to the max psi while the pats ball filler fills to the minimum acceptable limit that could be the cause of the discrepancy between the two sets of balls. The colts balls loose a few psi but are still in the limit the pats balls lose psi now there under the limit. This is just a thought I could be way off

Even assuming one ball was substantially underinflated, that does not absolve the Patriots here. They could have very well used that particular ball for the majority of the first half possessions.

Once you cheat the first time, you never get the benefit of the doubt again. And you shouldn't.

Yes. My Favorite Rank and the one I occupied the longest before retiring. A good Captain gets to spend lots of time with His Men - that is what its All about.

(Disabled Vet) I never liked the sound of that but.....

And this was not the first time NE has been caught cheating trying to win a game. It's in their DNA.

Exactly. No one outside of New England is ever going to talk about the Patriots the same way they talk about the old 49ers, Steelers, or Packers. The first word that will always come to mind is cheaters, not champions.
