Hey all

New to forums, and also new to owning a Jeep. US Navy guy currently deployed to Afghanistan, returning in spring 2013 and looking to spend my deployment money on some cool stuff for my Wrangler. I have a new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport (bought just 2 weeks before I got orders to deploy) thats parked on base in SD waiting for my return. I'm looking for opinions on the best/cool looking/most affordable tires for offroading. I'm also looking to get a lift kit installed (suggestions would be awesome), probably 3". I've been researching the forums and have some ideas but theres alot of info out there. Any suggestions from you guys? would love to see some pics or be directed to the best threads on the subject.

Thanks!

Lots of great kits out there. Rock Krawler, Teraflex, Synergy, etc...stay away from the lower priced incomplete kits. The JK suspension is not forgiving to cheap lift kits. It will end up costing more in the short term. With your 2012, which is what I have, you can look at my garage and see the specs.

When you get back, let me know. I know all the spots here in SD.

hey thanks chim-chim. how much should i expect to pay for a lift kit/installation? for a quality one, that is. also will it void my warranty and some recommendations of where to have the work done in SD would be awesome (i'm not from SD only stationed there so not real familiar with reputable mechanics)
