Bestop supertop nx vs trektop nx

I have a 2016 four door unlimited sport with a hard top. Im trying to decide between the two tops for summer use. Im a mom and want to be able to go topless without help from anyone. I want to be able to put the top on easily should there be a threat of rainstorm. Which top should I be considering?

How topless? If you are ok with just the "Sunrider" position then either top would work. If you want to be able to fold it all the way back against the tailgate so that it's still on the Jeep in case of rain then only the Supertop does that. If you want to take it off the jeep COMPLETELY the supertop is kind of heavy since it has all the metal framing. I have a supertop and can easily take it on and off the jeep but it is cumbersome. Someone with a trektop will chime in with how easy/difficult it is to take completely off.

The thing I like about the super top is that I can put it in sunrider mode for me and the family but the dogs still have shade in the far back.

Sunrider is def not enough! Folding back the supertop similar to the molar top is completely sufficient for me. I don't need it removed completely. I think im wondering what's easier... The folding back of the supertop or the removal of the trektop and can a trektop be taken with me on the go?

Trektop NX is meant to stay on with brackets, and bikini mode as a most stripped option. If you really want the top completely off then Supertop is the way based on videos i watched. I own Trektop NX and i love it except the rear window- loss of space but i like the look of it more than Supertop.

While its possible to remove the trektop NX completely, i wouldn't recommend this doing daily.

I have a '15 JKUR and just recently put the Supertop NX on it. In sunrider, there is actually a fair amount "open" feel with front & rear passengers able to look up and see air. You can further enhance the open feel by removing the side & rear windows.

As stated you can put the supertop all the way down but getting it back up is kinda cumbersome solo. I ultimately chose the supertop because I wanted all of my cargo space in the rear and the ability to fully go topless when desired.

I have the TrekTop, but it sounds like the SuperTop might fit you best. If you remove the TrekTop, it can't easily be taken with you, especially if your kids are with.

Although, with the TrekTop, in sunrider mode, you can unzip the top over the rear seats and tuck it under the sunrider, it's not quite fully open, but does open up some for the rear seat, just something else to think about!

One thing I don't like about the SuperTop styles is that when you have the top fully open, and need access to the cargo area, you have all that frame and material in your way.
And, I just love the fastback look!

The Supertop is probably a better option for you if you just want to fold the top down and go, you still have to remove the windows of course. I have the NX and I absolutely love it but it's a frameless top so it doesn't just fold up and back. You can remove the whole thing but it's a little bit of a process, not too bad but you can't just put it up if you get caught in a popup shower.

That being said the NX with the windows out and the sunrider back is a pretty open air experience, even more so with the doors off. With the doors off it's great to have a bit of shade using the NX as a bikini/safari top.

You can take it with you if you remove it if you want. Here's a pic of it removed (not mine). The header with the top rolled up fits right behind your rear seat with the bars facing to the rear around the sport bar. The windows will fit (not perfect but it works) in the Freedom Top storage bag. You can also roll up the windows and just put them under your back seat too.
