Big and Tall Sleeping in JKU?

I'm big and tall at 6'3" and 290lbs (more big than tall probably) and would like to be able to sleep in the back of my rig. I currently have a 2 door and one of the best things about a Wrangler for me is the open air freedom it affords. My ideal is more of an overlanding type of adventures here in the PACNW and just sleep in the back where ever I end up stopping. I know roof top tents are options, among others, but I think I'd like to keep it quick and easy for now.

I have seen a lot of posts about platforms and know a lot of folks do it, but specifically looking for big guy info. Can it be done? How did you do it?

Thanks!

I think I see where you are going...lean it all the way back and put something over the top of the front seat to all the way back?

I know some folks have removed the rear and passenger seats and fabricated a platform. Of course this only works if youre flying solo.
You have an L shaped sleeping area but it might work for a guy your size.

Remove the passenger seat. Works for 2 doors too!
