Gonna upgrade our 2010 in 2020. Should have enough time to work out the minor issues. Looking at getting a new pickup of some sort in the spring, so if it all works out I should only have 1 year of 2 car payments. But you know how that goes. Nothing ever really works out as planed. At least for me.

It's easy to grin, when your ship comes in, and you've got the stock market beat. But the man worthwhile, is the man who can smile, when his shorts are too tight in the seat........... Judge Smails

Lol on the "jk values may slide after JL hits the streets" commentary. Sure didn't happen with TJs.

With wranglers there are always plenty of people who will swear by the old model to keep prices high even after the new model is out.

Also playing into it is the fact that "old, retro, traditional looking" is actually uber cool and desirable in this segment, so the more modern the JL looks the more likely JK demand (and consequently prices) stays high.

Current: Anvil '14 Willys JK 6M, 4.56, G2 rear shafts; Eaton e-lockers, G2 D44 axle up front; 4:1 t-case; RE 2.5" long-arm, 35x10.5" Kenda for Street/37" Interco for Trail;
Previous: Hunter Green '92 XJ Cherokee Laredo 4.0; White 92 XJ Cherokee Limited 4.0; '11 Grand Cherokee Overland Hemi-powered drone

I personally traded in my Grand Cherokee after only 5 months of ownership because I hated all the technology and the ridiculous shifter. It beeped and dinged at every little thing. I don't want my vehicle to drive for me. I wanted back in a JK and have no desire from what I have seen leaked to own a JL. Then again I said I would never drive a 4 door JKU and ended up owning two. I'm happy to be back in a 2 door Jeep with very little technology other than pw/pl. Only other thing I wish I had was remote start which I will be adding soon.

I drive a SUV from the 90's and nothing beeps at me so having all this new stuff like Bluetooth and satallite radio is all really dope for me.

It's almost like I don't know how to use it all though hah.
