You don't have to own a jeep to be part of the forum, just the desire.

Can we ask why you're dumping a '12 Rubicon? I have been on Subaru forums...Give it a day or 2 then the Subtards will get to you.

I bought it with the intention of being stationed in Alaska, and after taking it off road and beating it up I realized I was going to destroy my daily driver eventually. And if I owned it I know I couldn't not take it off road. I took a 2k hit trading it in but I got a car I had always wanted (2008 Subaru Impreza wrx sti)

The Subaru guys are very helpful. Not as cool as the Toyota guys, but nice...in a bit of a geeky way.

Enjoy the new Subaru, and use OEM oil filters!

Since I currently don't have a Subaru and do have a Toyota, I shouldn't say it- but I much prefer the Subaru guys. Makes me think I must be a geek at heart. (But then, Jeep guys tend to beat 'em all.)

Had Subaru's since 1972 very good vehicles, I traded in my 2000 wagon with 180k and blown head gasket for my 12 2 dr. You should get many miles ahead of you in your Impreza. Good luck!

Enjoy your new car. You were never a Jeep "person", you just drove one.

X2^

I have drove many cars, trucks, ect. but 25 years ago I lived in a "1983" CJ-7 and it's in my soul now!

It's not just a "Jeep" it's a life style:

SUBARU? I would walk first. Another chainsaw roaming the streets. Is a female involved in this decision? Im believe you must hand in your MAN CARD.

Sorry to hear your selling the jeep. I hope it all works out in the end. And once a Jeeper, always a Jeeper.

I have never heard a statement i could disagree more with. I've grown up surrounded by jeeps my whole life. This was just a better financial decision that sadly had to be made. Once this is paid off (4 years) i will be back in the jeep game in a heartbeat. I can't even explain how much i miss it already.

Hey! give the guy a break, give him something to look forward to on his return four years from now. There are many folks in here that have two different kinds of vehicles ( me included, I also have a '12 Camaro which I love driving as much as my Jeep)
I am sure we will be seeing him soon again and he will be sporting a new wrangler, lets hold together as a community and show him the Jeep love. Sometimes life will throw you a curveball and you gotta take it as it comes to ya.
Good luck to the OP and I hope to see ya soon again. Enjoy that Suburu (even though it is not my "cup of tea")

I owned a 2005 STi until it was destroyed by an inattentive driver. You will love your STI, I guarantee it!

If I didn't get my Rubicon, I would have gotten a '12 STI.

Thanks, and its pretty sweet so far, totally different driving experience from the jeep or my 71 firebird. And this is my first ever import and so far its impressing me.
