Camping With the Jeep

Hello!

So I have been trying to find campsites within 2 to 3 hours of me that allow me to have my Jeep at the campsite. I live in Northern VA and all the sites that I find are somewhat vague in whether I am allowed to park my Jeep at the campsite itself.

Does anyone know of some good campsites that are Jeep friendly?

Thanks!

Depends on where in Northern VA you are I guess.

I have to give a big thumbs up to the Cove out in Gore, VA - about 15 miles west of Winchester. Great campground, awesome fun trails, and the owner is super Jeep-friendly. Everything from primitive camping, car camping, RV hookups, whatever you want they always have tons of spots to put the Jeep.

You should join novajeepers and do one of the driver/spotter trainings offered, was a ton of fun in the snow back in March, with camping the night before. Everyone else brought tents, the wife and I moved our gear to the front seats and laid out a mattress pad in the back.

reserveamerica.com is pretty handy. You can search by area, and most of the time they will have a photo of the actual campsite you pick. It will say in the description if you park at your site, or if you have to pack it in.
