Can you add NAV to a 430 RBZ???

Hey guys, so I have a question for you.

I'm about to order a new 2016 2dr Willy's Edition (because my 2015 is being bought back by chrysler per the MI Lemon Law) and the only upgrade for the radio it has is the 430 RBZ (No Nav).

I was wondering, is adding NAV as easy as adding the GPS Antenna and upgrading the software......or is there more to it?

Not sure why the Willy's only offers the 430 RBZ and not the 430N RHB, especially when the Chrysler Engineers I've talked to say everything is plug n play if you were to upgrade.

Any input would be a appreciated.

Thanks,
bdrayer

You can't just get an update and turn it into a 430N. You could purchase a 430N and install it, fairly easy to do. Last I knew the navigation and the Sirius/XM antenna were one and the same.

Does the RBZ have Sirius included?

Gotcha thanks for the response.

Again, the main reason I was wondering is because I am going to be ordering a new 2016 Willys, and there is no option to upgrade the radio to a 430N......you can only get the 430 RBZ (no nav). I don't really want to have to spend an extra 2000 after purchasing my Jeep to get Navigation.

I guess I will just have to stick with the 430 RBZ right now, until I upgrade to an aftermarket with NAV and back up camera.

RBZ would have Sirius.

I have the 430 RBZ in my 15 willys and honestly, I'd save the money and buy an aftermarket head unit.

True. A 430 (RBZ) isn't field upgradable to a 430N (RHB), the way a 8.4A (RA3) can be field upgradeable to a 8.4AN (RA4).

What was the issue for the buy back with lemon law?

Will you get the 100k warranty with the 2016? I was told they are lowering the warranty to 60k starting 2016 via my salesperson.

You should be accommodated for the inconvenience and not lose any warranty miles or features from your bought back Willy's.

I wonder how many 'Lemon' situations have happened considering the demand and sped up production of Wranglers especially Willy's?

Hope you get everything you want and taken care of

I think the only thing you can have added to it is a backup camera. The NAV would require a whole new head unit.

It wouldn't be near $2k. I see the 430N's on Ebay for $700-$800.

The issue with the Lemon Law was that both of my doors leaked. As in leaked whether it was raining, going through a car wash, etc.

It leaked so bad that I would come out and have to pull my slush mat out, and dump all the water out, or else the fiancee would've needed water shoes lol.

It had been at the dealership 4 different times, most recently for 41 days consecutively while they tried to fix it with no luck.

My understanding is that they will hand me a check when I turn in my current wrangler, and the money is mine to do what I please with. I do not believe I can negotiate the warranty unless I call and discuss with Jeep Customer Service, which after dealing with them for 6 months, does not get you very far.

Is there a factory back up camera I can add, or is there an aftermarket that will work with the 430? Can you point me in the direction to find one, because that is something that I would like to add if it will work with the stock 430 unit.

I thought I read where the 730N was not offered on the 2016's. If the 430N is not offered also does that mean you can not get navigation any longer in the Wrangler?

430N is available on the sahara and rubicon, just not the sport and the willys. It is however available on the Black Bear edition.

I have not added one yet to mine but I've read here that it can be done for relatively little $$ with good results. All you need the dealership for is to turn on the option. There are several good reads on it. Just search. You'll find tons of options.
