can you recommend a quality winch cover

I have a 2017 jk with a warn vr8-s winch. my wife wants to buy me a cover for it. Doe's anyone make a cover that won't fall apart or fade out in six months? How hard can it be to to market a quality cover? that will last a few years? thanks.

I have a few $20 Rugged Ridge covers over the years. They last about 2 years but Iv'e had to spray paint them black after only 4 months because of the UV fade. The next one i get I'm going to have custom made out of marine grade Sunbrella at a boat canvas shop. They quoted me $100 to $125. I was told it will last 12 to 15 years. It will be repairable and have no fade.

pretty hard lol.

best I have seen; a friend had his custom made by a leather worker. wasn't too expensive and was treatable to last longer.

but... then I had an idea to source an old soft top and use that material to make one. quite durable stuff. but right now my winch is pretty much tucked into the bumper so no need.

Searched for an Xd9000i, apparently they did not decide to make that one.

I ordered the good old neoprene, guess we will see how long it lasts.

Amazon has quite a few to choose from. At $20 or less, buy a new one every year or treat them with Aero 303 every month and the color will hold fairly well. I got the one at the link below. It is 1-1/2 years old, Aero 303 treated, parked outdoors half the time and looks new still today. The El Jeffe is covering a Comeup w/integrated control box and fits very well.

Heads up for fading on the neoprene units. Had one and dowsed it regularly with Aero 303 and it still faded within the first year. Takes a lot of treatment too as it is like a sponge.

Don’t bother with a neoprene cover. Will fade and crack quickly. I’ve been through a couple of those.

I now have one of the “el jefe” covers mentioned above and it’s held up well. Cheap too.

Thanks for the heads up, may send this one back.

Do either of you know if that will fit an XD9000i?
