Question Can't decide between these two wheels

For the life of me I can't choose between these two wheels. I like the pro comps on the left because I like how the white outline defines the wheel. I like the TM wheels on the right because they look a bit more sunken in because the spokes start at the outer lip, but I worry it might just be too much black and the wheel/tire will look too homogeneous. I'm going to throw some 33" Crosswind M/T (285/70r17) tires on them, so fairly aggressive tread. Both tires are 17", 4.75BS and -6mm offset; so same specs. What are yalls thoughts? I've got a silver JKU

Not a big fan of the spoke wheels. Prolly my favorite right now is black rhino arsenals and their armory collection. Wheel decisions are based soley on your heritage and the neighborhood influences you have had growing up. Sort of like the type of beer or wine you like.

Here the pro comps are on the same size tire I'm looking at getting. The TMs, I'm not sure what size those are

I found some black rhinos (spoked though) I like, but I didn't want to go with 18" wheels because of limited and costlier tires.

I like the all black. A machined lip reminds me of an old white wall tire, but it is totally your choice. There are obviously machined lip fans or they wouldn't make them.

Good luck with your decision.

Does your jeep have black accents? All black will make them pop.

You guys don't know how lucky you are to even have a choice. The YJ guys don't get to choose because nobody makes a decent 15" wheel. All of it is crapolla.

Silver paint, black accents...no true colors just white, blacks, grays, chrome (only on stock headlights prolly go black in future), amber lenses (prolly go clear or smoke in future) etc.

Did they use a different bolt pattern on the YJ?

Its the 4.5 x 5 but the issue is that all the good looking wheels are manufactured in 17". Trying to put 17s on a delicate little YJ without serious expensive mods on a monumental scale is not a great idea. Sure there are adapters and spacers and such that could get you a 17 bolted on and down the road but its not going to end well.

I agree completely - not a fan of spacers and adapters either.

Are you going to wheel with these? If so, it's safest to assume you'll get some rock rash on the rims. Hopefully you won't but, if you do, it might be nice to be able to repaint.

Use to like all black but now I feel it’s to much black. I have moved to black and graphite.

Im looking at the new Bronze/Dark Tint wheels that XD has come out. I cant post pics from work PC but the models are: XD133, XD829, and XD840.

Just picked up a Turtleback trailer so Im trying to get new tires and wheels matching.

Personally, I don't like either, but don't dislike them either. If you truly like them both the same, flip a coin and move on.

Wheels are a tough one...probably main reason why on my JLUR when I lifted and went to 35's - I just stayed with the wheels I already had (stock) Nice wheel, caught my eye when I first saw the Jeep so there they are...

Maybe that's the key, What caught your eye (the most) which one do you find yourself looking at more?

Not all black but... mostly and went with Black lugnuts after this pic.

I don't care for either, but if I had to choose between the two, the top one by far.

Simplify it.. Hard to make a decision for someone else when it comes to opinion... This is the math to simplify it if you have to choose;
If your silver Jeep is bright silver, go with all black on the right. It wont get lost it will look more like a blacked out Jeep. Check out my TJ in my Profile.

If it's the darker silver Jeep color, go with the one on the left to give it some POP. The all black will get lost in the darker silver and the lighter wheel will clash with the lighter silver.. design is design no matter what you apply it too.. You don't wear a black shirt with black pants (except at night on the weekends). Assuming youre going to drive this thing during the day...

Just my 2 cents

Have you looked at Quadratec. They have page after page of 15" and 16" wheels in the 5 on 4.5" pattern. Depending on the tires, you can use 16" wheels. I have noted a decrease in available tires for 15" wheels. When I was going with new wheels and tires on my TJ, I was deciding between the 31x10.50R15 and the LT245/75R16s as they are both the same height. The 15" tires are wider and I did not want to limit myself to 15" tire selections.

Agreed. I'd go all black, but pick the one you won't regret not picking.

I ended up going with the TM wheels (ones on the right in first post). IRL they look real nice, I'm glad I went with them. Also plasti dipped my grill black, smoked marker lights, smoked blinkers, black background on my headlights and fog lights. Only color on my jeep now are the tail lights. I'll get around to them soon enough
