Changing gear oil

I will soon be retired and am going to ordering a JK S package to tow behind our motor home. I was wondering if I should change the lube in the differentials and transfer case sooner because of the ware of towing it? I know that the ware will be minimal when it is being towed but there will be ware on the non load side of the gears which will cause more metal particles in the fluid. Or am I over thinking it? I will be doing mild off roading and will keep stock tire size do I need to get the 3.71 gear or will the 3.21 be all right?

You should get the 3.73 gears if you will be towing.

You are over thinking it. It seems like there will be a little less wear on the gears since there is no torque being applied to them from the Jeep's engine; they will be free wheeling. There will be a little shear to the oil from the gear mesh so it will be important to follow the recommended change intervals for the axels.
