thats funny. I thought maybe you were in 20s or 30s. Finding xtra $50 a week would be a no brainer. 29k for a new 18 unlimited with hurricane engine..no other extras. so 20k for a 14 w/ 56k on it seems ridiculous IMO.

I remember when I was in my 20's & 30's that's for sure. But, those days have passed. Now that I'm retired it's about what I want instead of what I need. So, we're headed out tomorrow to see if we can make a deal on a '19 Sahara Unlimited. In the same line of thinking I thought at 20K for the '14 I may as well just go for the whole ball of wax. If the dealer doesn't get stupid we should be able to bring that baby home.

BTW, sorry for the late reply. My good compooter went tits up, and I had to drag old "old reliable" and remember all of my passwords. Yep, I'm a gettin' a bit old.

Just remember, there are no stupid questions just stupid answers and the dealership are filled with stupid answers. Have fun and enjoy the summer.

I got a few today, but after they found that I wasn't one of their regular uniformed customers things got better. We were able to get close enough on the deal to make everyone happy, and I drove our new JL home. Tomorrow will be the "learning day" for all the tech stuff on cars these days.

Purchased a new 2018 Willys Wheeler W on July 4th, 2018. Most of the new Willys JKU's had been picked over/sold across the state at that time I was looking...I narrowed it down to this one because it had the options I wanted, the color was my second choice. I wanted Gobi, but could'nt find one.

Granite Crystal Metallic
Alpine speakers
Power windows/locks
Standard sat radio/cd player(I find the large screen radios distracting)
3.73's Tow package
Freedom/Hard top

I really like the look of the package..black rims, stickers..etc. I dont see many of them(willys)in our area. Any info out there on Willys JK production numbers in 2018?

Very nice Willys. I was in the same bout when I bought mine last Feb. Mostly picked over everywhere. I wanted a firecracker red one no matter what else it had. My local dealer finally got one in and it was a WW with the optional rear locker. I have since added a Eaton true Trac to the front, Mopar 2 inch lift, rancho Geo brackets, yeti track bar, bartact seat covers, and 10a steel front and rear bumpers I just added yesterday. Did you have to pay the 750 or whatever for the tow package?

Just added front and rear 10A bumpers along with the steel air dam to my Willys. Now all I need is a firecracker red power some good.

I bought a 2018 WW (JKU) in February(2018). I had a 2017 but it succumbed to a slippery road and a sudden gust of gravity. It wasn't real bad but too much dented metal and beat up fiberglass so the IC totalled it. I bought it because I liked the look, wanted slightly beefier tires. I live in snow-country. The only difference between the two is that newer one has the stupid tv screen (which I've finally gotten used to), and a button to lock the rear axles. I put the bumper/winch from the 2017 on the 2018. Fortunately liberal tow-yard owner let me in to strip the bumper off and...well...let's just say I also have a spare full set of WW wheels and tires with only a few thousand miles on them.

I had to search around the country for it. There was only a few months left of JK production. Given that I wanted a WW, power locks/windows(spousally mandated), tru-lok, tow pkg..and to make it real difficult...a manual tranny....I figured I better get cracking. Finally found mine in Vegas. Enjoyed the 20 hours I spent in Vegas...flew out, landed, picked up WW...got drunk...got up the next day (notice not using "morning" there)..and got on the road. All-in-all while I enjoyed a bit of warm weather...by the time I got home I was wishing I had it shipped. Had to spend an extra day on road due to I-80 closing. BTW...for all to know...it's very difficult to drink in Utah...just sayin'.

Wanted JK instead of JL...mostly due to after market stuff, looks (sorry JL owners) and I didn't think the old bumper would fit on a JL (I don't know if that's true).

Anyway..sorry for long post...I for sure enjoy the WW.
