Thought I would start a club just for the Willys Wheeler edition.

Let's make this a place to share what model we have, how much we paid, and why we chose the Wheeler over the other models.

Make sure to share lots of pictures if you already have your rig!!

I'll start...

JKUWW
HALF DOORS
430
Alpine Premium Sound
Engine BH
Smokers Group (for the extra outlet)
Granite Crystal

$29,776 + tax, title, lic...pretty decent deal.

I went with the Willys because I started with wanting the Rubicon...I than decided that I didn't know if I wanted to dump an extra $5-6k in the Rubi and would eventually do some upgrades myself once the 3-36k warranty is up. I also love the look of the Willys and the fact that it's kinda like a "Rubi Lite". It's also a pretty good deal when you compare it to the Sport.

First post and thank you for the wealth of information.

I went with my son today to order a Willys Wheeler. His first car was a TJ we got when he was 15. He drove it all through High School and his first year of college. Sold it after his freshman year and got a pickup. He started complaining about missing his Jeep the same day.

He graduates college and commissions in the Army in May and has been bugging us about a Jeep for graduation. We agreed to give him a certain amount of cash for graduation and the rest is on him.

He ordered a WW 2 door anvil, half doors, Alpine sound, A/C, and tow package.
MSRP was 28875 and invoice was 27733. He got it for 26497. I think he got a fair deal from what we have been reading on here.

Now if I can just talk the wife in one for me.

According to Pat on the 2014 Wrangler Information Thread you don't get an extra outlet with the smokers group just a lighter and ashtray. I would have ordered the smoker's group if I knew you get an extra outlet.
Holy hell! Well thanks! I know what needs to change Monday morning.

Now if I can just remember who told me to get the smokers group for the extra outlet so I can let them know...It's only $30 so not the end of the world.

Wow, what a nice Dad! My folks helped me buy my first Wrangler which was a 91'. Some of my best memories are in that car, including meeting my wife. Hopefully your son can create some great memories too.

Looks like you got an outstanding deal on the rig so congrats. Tell your son we all appreciate his service and stay safe.

:welcome:

My order was put in on 12/09/14 and I picked mine up on 12/24/14

Willys Wheeler Unlimited (24K)
Granite Crystal
Full Doors
Hardtop
Auto
Alpine Audio System
Max Tow Package

Total Price: $33,870
Paid: $31870
I traded in a 2007 2 door Rubicon

Only mod is black lug nuts.

Holy hell am I happy I ordered Granite after seeing that pic! :)

Dude, more pics! Ride is looking good. I'm almost positive black lugs will be the very first thing I'm going to do. Shocking they don't put black lugs on from the factory. Congrats on the awesome ride!

Random question for you. Are your lights auto? I'm trying to figure out what I really lose by having half doors from an electrical standpoint. You know other than the very obvious thing of power windows/locks...

My lights are not auto, I ordered the regular Willys Wheeler. No power locks or windows. No power heated mirrors.

The "real mans" Willys, I like it man! Kinda what makes me love the Willys is it is really a bit old school and a little of Rubi mixed in. You made a good choice.

Now, tell us how you feel about the Willys and if you're happy with the decision. You're one of the few people who actually have their Jeep to play with.

Bummer. Auto lights are the only "power" thing I wanted. Had them on my vehicles for the last 20 years. I'm sure I'll be driving around at night for a while without my lights. Then once I remember to turn them on, I'll probably forget to shut them off. I think all vehicles should have them. Kind of like a safety thing.

I know you're a half door guy cause we were talking in the half door thread...Do you have a Willys?
Not yet. Ordered one though. Granite, 2 Door, Half Doors, 6 Speed.

I happy with my choice. I did want to spend the cash for a Rubicon. The rear LSD has been great in the snow, almost never need 4wd in the snow. I had a 2007 2dr Rubicon, the new Wranglers have a lot more power. I like all of the room compared to the 2 door. The tires and the suspension are the same as what I had. Interior is nicer. I could do with out the connectivity group and all of the buttons on the steering wheel. I had a 2000 TJ, that came with a complete set of real gauges. Now, I have to scroll through a menu to see different temps and oil pressure. The glossy bumper overlays are cheesy looking. I took the front one off and did not get around to the back yet, because the bumper has to be dropped to get it off. Should have came with black lug nuts, but they were easy to add.

Funny enough...the last vehicle I had that didn't have auto lights was a Wrangler. Agreed, only thing I kinda wanted was auto lights, but I can deal.

Great to have another half door guy in here. We all know that half doors are an "acceptable predicament"...
