Cold Weather Group for Canada JKU

When you build a JKU Sport S on the Canadian web site and select the cold weather group, it doesn't list the remote start even if you have the power and convenience group selected. It does show remote start if you are building a Rubicon. So my question is does the cold weather group include the remote start on a Sport S in Canada? In the brochure there is no mention of this group being different between the Sport S and Rubicon. Confusing...

I want the remote start but I don't want the body coloured fenders (Sahara) so it's Sport S or Rubicon.

Also there is no 430N available on Sport S, just 430. Wondering why?

Try going to a dealer. Some options will show up on dealer screen that will not on web site.; but go in knowing what you want, most salespeople know nothing about Jeeps because they're too busy selling Caravans and Rams.

I don't know about in Canada, but here in the US, it isn't all that unusual for some of the high-end options to be restricted to the high-end models. That's to help nudge you into the high-end, higher profit, model.

I know I'm not in Canada, but my JKU w/ cold weather group came with remote start.

It came with:
BFG KO's
Engine block heater
Heated front seats
Slush mats
Remote Start

I have the cold weather group also but it is a manual so no remote start. It does have the block heater though.

I'm looking online at a window sticker for a JKU sport S with the cold weather group and it lists the following:

- Heavy−duty suspension with gas shocks
- BFGoodrich brand tires
- Front heated seats
- LT265/70R17C KO2 All−Terrain tires
- Mopar slush mats

It has the power and convience group but nowhere on the window sticker does it list remote start? Just wish they could be clear about this!

Manual transmission = no remote start, even on packages that normally include it.

Thanks. I wonder why they don't show it on Canadian window stickers

I don't know, but when I was shopping for my current Jeep (also in Canada), I found out I couldn't 100% trust window stickers, dealership online vehicle descriptions for a given vehicle on their lot, or the salesman's version of what was what (as most don't truly know and don't specialize in the Wrangler and their nuances). Instead, I would punch the VIN into the link above when the VIN for a particular vehicle was available in the dealership's online listing or in Chrysler Canada's dealer inventory listing to see what the Jeep was really equipped with before I made the drive and began the negotiation dance .

There is a lot to be said for knowing the dealer has a vehicle on the lot just like you'd want it configured, and knowing what their sticker price is, Chrysler Canada's MSRP is, and how much you want to pay before pulling up in-person like a lamb to the slaughter. It is also handy to have a vehicle or two on competing dealer's lots so you can walk away and still have a Jeep to buy should negotiations "go south." Even if you don't intend to walk away, you can use another dealer's inventory as a bargaining chip should you know they have one equipped as you'd want it as a second choice.

Strange, it does list it when you build a JK Sport S with the cold weather group on the Canadian site.

I believe they can't list it because it depends on the transmission you choose. As far as I know they don't include remote start in the cold weather group when a manual transmission is chosen.

My Rubi has the cold weather group with auto trans so it did come with remote start.
