Daystar tailgate bumpstops on 2015 JK 2 Door

I had the daystar bumpstops on my 2012 JK to support my the 33" tire on the tailgate without having to invest in tailgate supports or a tire carrier. They worked fine for moderate wheeling so once I got the 2015 I just ordered the same ones again.

These don't fit the tailgate! the part that fits through the hole in the tailgate is too hard and its hard plastic. I did buy them off amazon so there is a chance they are cheap(er) knockoffs...but does anyone know if the holes for the tailgate bumpstops on a 2015 are different from the ones on a 2012? Should I just order the same ones from quadratec? Any other vendors besides daystar make the same thing???

Can't help you with the Daystar bump stops, but you CAN make some yourself for about $3 (assuming you have some black spray or plastidip paint).

Check out rtkane's build thread in the JK Build section. He has a write up in there on how he made his, and he has a 2015.

Thanks for the link. I have had trouble getting the Daystars into the tailgate also so I'm going to give this a try!
