Did they improve the 2016 JKU doors?

Yesterday was the first time taking on & off the doors on my 16 JKU. All the posts I've read prior to doing that here mostly gripes on how frustrating, difficult to reinstall, requiring jacks, etc.

Mine popped right out and right back in with a little wiggling. Couldn't have been easier. Did they do something to make it easier than how many people describe it? Or could it simply be that it's still new?

Because they're new.
Keep them well lubed and you'll never have an issue. I usually use caliper grease because it's handy. I'm sure other's have tips/tricks too.

Mine's a '14 with 45+k on it and they pop in/out as easy as day 1.

Agree with Blue Baby, just because they're new. Either start continually greasing and/or get some Delrin Inserts that would replace the OEM door sleeves.

I use white grease twice a year in my 2010 and have no issues. The first time I took them off (used vehicle) it was a terrible experience

if its a 2016, it likely hasnt been around for more then a year? no time for corrosion or wear and tear on the door hinge liners...my 2016 picked up 4/20 doors slide on and off like butter. i remember my 2012 after 2 years of offroading and abuse, doors were 100% more of a task to remove and replace then it is now.

take them on and off a few times in the next 2 or three years and youll notice increasing difficulty.(only works if you dont take care of them like the others by greasing or lubing...this is the fix all step, unless you damage a vehicle side door pin liner.)
