Fender Deletes?

I’m considering getting the DV8 Fender-Flare deletes for my JKU

Anyone run these on a Daily? My thoughts are the deletes will not raise alarms like simply removing the flares would d/t a nice “clean” look.

Or should I expect tickets?

I've known at least two people around here that ran fenderless for about 2 years. Both went right back to flats after dealing with all of the crap and rocks thrown up by the tires. One had a side mirror broken and the other took a rock in the arm pretty hard. Had to get stitches.

I checked Ohio DMV vehicle regs and only find requirements for "commercial vehicles". There are regs on bumper height, etc but see nothing in their DMV regs regarding wheel or fender cover for passenger vehicles. Might give a call to your state police because they would know for sure if such a reg exists.

Here in AZ there's quite a few of them... I had planned for a delete kit if I ever built a 2dr. But they are a mess, buy an annual pass at the car wash and take it through every other day. ;)

Maybe those really narrow metal flares would be a better option. I know that there are several that are available which are only like 2 to 3 inches wide.

Tried to edit the original title, but I'll add this on here.... figured it was better than starting another topic about the same thing!

I know the toothpaste is out of the tube at this point, but I ordered, and have DV8 fender deletes on the way. I liked that it was a set of 4, vs. buying front deletes from Steinjager, I thought they looked nicer than the Rough Country ones, although I have seen none in person, and although the GenRight look nice too, and they're aluminum I believe.... they are quite a bit more, and I plan on monstalining them anyways.

Either way.... I found a "few" pictures of them, but even that wasn't that easy..... a lot of time googling. I can find no videos of installation, no detailed reviews of install, etc.... Actually, I found a single review of the kit itself, and it was a bad one (saying bad cast, and it didn't fit flush with body....) and I ordered them nonetheless.

All of these things are just kinda "oh well" in my mind, but it states that it is a straight bolt-on kit, but Quadratec (amongst others with similar ratings) says installation is "Level 3, Advanced"

Anyone have these, that can tell me:

1) installation issues/ease/problems/whatever
and
2) Fit
3) Finish/holding up over time (although I will be lining them

Thanks, I googled a lot, and thought at first that it must be some 'brand new' product that DV8 put out, but some pictures I actually was able to track down were forum posts from 7-8 years ago.......
