Fram Ultra synthetic oil filter?

I haven’t had a vehicle that’s used a cartridge type oil filter in probably 50 years. For the JK 3.6 I’ve read that Mopar is good but I want better than just good. I plan on keeping my Jeep for a long time. I got the service records from the previous owner and they changed the oil at recommended intervals at the local Jeep dealer. I plan on switching to Pennzoil platinum full synthetic at the next change. I’ve used Mobil 1 filters on all my other vehicles with spin on filters. I was going to go with M1 for the JK but I’ve been reading a lot about the Fram Ultra synthetic oil filters. Apparently they filter better than M1. Cost isn’t an issue. Don’t mind spending a couple dollars more if I can get a better filter. Has anyone had any experience, problems or issues with the Fram Ultra? How about M1? Thanks

Does not really apply to the type of filter used in our vehicles.

As long as you use a high quality filter I think you are just fine. I have used Wix, Fram and Mopar. I don't find one to be better than the other so it normally comes down to which ever is on sale. Many of us are changing oil at 5000 miles along with rotating the tires. The oil is not really getting a chance to get very dirty.

I'm using Fram Ultra. It seems to be well built. They are about $11 at Walmart.

Used wix filters for almost 40 years at the fleet I used to work for. Never had a issue with them. Use them on all my vehicles. Just in case you don’t know napa filters are wix.

Stick with your Mobil 1.
The Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil Filters are the best filters out there right now.

Mopar or Wix, nothing else. If you have a warranty I'd stick to Mopar no matter what, just not worth dealing with dealer issues. After seeing so many failures from Fram I won't use them.
