Justin, just one more quick question and I'll watch from the side lines. Since you live in exactly the same climate in Phoenix as I do in Lost Wages Nv., Did you do any testing or experimenting with your Dirty Acres Custom grill insert with your digital temp. gauge? I am thinking about getting one of these for our jeeps, but in the middle of August, our outside ambient temps reach 115 on a regular basis. Did you check temps without the insert and with the insert to see if it raised the engine's running temps at all? In Aug. my engine can run as high as 230-236 degrees while crawling up a rocky dirt road at 5 miles an hour, where in Dec., it runs 203-210. I would hate to see the temp raise up to 240 or higher with the insert. That would be WAY TOO HOT for my liking. Or has anybody had a raise in engine running temps by adding a grill insert in front of their rad's?

Sorry I haven’t read through all the posts, but if a show vehicle and street use only why not at least put 37s on it? I think bigger tires and slightly more lift would show better with everything else you’ve done, but I’m no judge. 35s are pretty much the norm today and you are trying to stand out. Heck, go for 40s if it would fit in the garage! . You could even put trusses and Cs on and paint them red for show. Just a thought.

I picked one of those up on Amazon for $13.

Edit: nevermind. I totally missed the custom engraving at the top!

I just saw and read through this entire post. Congrats on your Jeep and the car show wins. You really do have a vision and great attention to detail. Very few people successfully work through their wish list like this. I'll be following and looking forward to seeing what you do next.

Just put the red synthetic winch rope on. Will be installing jl hinges, jw speaker headlights and jw speaker turn signals next. The red rope looks allot better and tactical recovery equipment shipped it fast.

37s are in the plans. I had 33s before and zero lift. Now I want to go higher and bigger tires.

That sucks. I've been looking at getting a pair of those. I love the look, and they'll eliminate the hood flutter.

What's your back up plan?

Bedazzling the judges with things that are "just enough" without being gaudy. Attention to detail. Some Anal Retentiveness about being "Dress Right Dress." If you were in the military, you'll know what that means. I see that beautiful new red winch rope. Being one of the mechanics that used to inspect the winches on military vehicles in the 70's and 80's (peace time army), I would re-spool the rope to make it look like a machine did it where each coil is perfectly aligned and parallel to the one next to it. That might be enough to get 1st place over the jeep next to you that DIDN'T care to have a perfectly spooled rope. Car shows can get down to a piece of fly scat the judge noticed on your drivers side window as he was reaching for the door handle to inspect the inside. BUT, I am only guessing on this!! Hog Wild is Looking VERY good!!!

While I am not a fan of what the OP is doing, I can appreciate the effort. I'm just not a fan of all show and no go.
What part of this Jeep is "no go"? I have seen a whole bunch of box-stock wranglers get thumbs up around here as "a great looking rig" If he ever becomes disinterested in the car show scene, this jeep is no-joke. Just because it was built while the owner was showing it, it will still give a 99.99% of other 'SUV's' a run for their money on the trails. IT'S STILL A JEEP WRANGLER, and nothing Justin's done to it has taken away from that!!! It'll just do it prettier than yours or mine.

While I liked the understated rims more, I won't lie the new rims look sharp on there.

I thought so. They looked good without tires perched on the stack of 3 cardboard boxes. They look even better on a good looking, color matched jeep. GREAT UPGRADE!!!

A sponsorship is just around the corner as soon as you get a couple more 1ST PLACE TROPHY'S.

Just ordered the JW Speaker taillights and black lug nuts from Northridge 4x4. In few days the custom shift plate and gas door should be here. Once those are on next step is to get the differential covers installed.
