Front bumper.... deer-guard?

I am actually thinking about replacing the low-key stock front bumper with one of those large obnoxious aftermarket ones to protect my jeep (somewhat) from deer.

Curious if anyone out there has one that has hit a deer at highway speeds and how did it hold up.

Came somewhat close to hitting one the other night.

Already hit and killed one with the stock bumper about a month ago at slower speeds (no damage since I basically ran it over).

Most of the front ends on vehicles these days are meant to crumble and absorb energy. My neighbor hit a deer right after he got his JKU. I think he ended up having the bumper, grille, hood, and headlights replaced.

Just get yourself a plow attachment.

At highway speeds, it's probably not going to matter a lot.

I had an ARB bull bar on my Land Cruiser. I hit a deer at around 30 miles an hour. The angle of the bar(along with the lifted height of the vehicle) pushed it under the front right tire. No damage to the bar but I think at highway speeds I would have rolled.

Guy around here yesterday was on the highway on his motor bike and hit a deer going 75MPH. Cut the deer in half. Guy only had a busted leg.

this would probably work:
