Front Diff Upgrade

Looking to upgrade the front diff on my 2010 JKU. Going from 35s to 38s so the Dana 30 has got to go. It has to be regeared any ways, going to 5.13 from 3.73, so I was wondering if a stock 44 out of a Rubi will stand up or do I need to go to aftermarket. Extreme Terrain has the Currie Rock Jock for 4600.00 complete. If I find a diff out of a Rubi am I going to end up spending just as much money upgrading to match aftermarket. From what I have seen, stock 44 front diff are not exactly plentiful.

Aftermarket will definitely get you a stronger unit. I would be thinking aftermarket unless a Rubi fell in my lap.

I think 38's is too much for a Dana 44 Rubicon. It might work with heavy duty ball joints and chromoly axel tubes. Lots of people swear by the Dynatrac Pro Rocks, another option.
