Arrow Get a FlashCal?

Would you all recommend this if I have added a lot of weight (160 or so pounds) to the front and rear of the jeep?

Superchips Wrangler FlashCal Programmer 3570 (07-16 Wrangler JK) - Free Shipping

I do not have a lift or tires yet (will eventually), but wanting to know if it would help me even before I got the tires and lift setup. Any info would be helpful! Thanks!

There are adjustments that can be made prior to adding larger tires like you can see in the specs. Weight isn't a factor.

The Superchips Flashpaq has some options for more powerful tunes with higher octane fuel. That may help get some of the pep back from the weight. You'll also be able to adjust for tires and gears when that comes.

The Flashcal won't be much use to you in my opinion. Let me know if you have any questions about the Flashpaq!

Ryan...FYI

On the link you provided, looking at the description of the Falshpaq, second paragraph, it states:

The Programmer is small enough to easily fit in your glove compartment or center council making for easier storage

I think console is the word you're looking for.

Thank you! I'll have that changed.

Ryan-
You need to make an adjustment to your website! The Flashcal is NOT "officially" compatible with the 2016 models as of yet. I just called Superchips and confirmed this myself. Having said that, I have a 2016 and it's running the program (so far) but again, according to Superchips, 2016 not officially supported.

Starting in 2015, don't you still have to do either an ECM swap or have your ECM unlocked for a total price of approx. $500? I guess it's worth it if the OP wants to spend the $ for added weight that might be less than 1 average individual.

Are these tuners easy to install and use? I had a mechanic quote me to install one which is a lot higher than the purchase price.

OPs profile says he as a '14 so that shouldn't be an issue. I understand that the weight isn't much, but if OP wants a little power boost and is interested in tuners the Flashpaq fits the bill.

The tuners just plug in and are very easy to install! If you get one and have any questions the manufacturer or dealer can help you! Let me know if you have any other questions.

I'll get that edited. Thanks!

You don't need a mechanic. Just click on the Superchips Flashpaq link above. All you have to do is plug one into the OBD port, set your programming, remove and you're set. Just be aware that with a 2015 JK in order to use a Flashpaq "tuner" you also have to swap out the ECM or remove yours, send it to Superchips and then they have to code it and then send it back to you, then you have to install it. The Quadratec site lists a price of approx. $500. Or, contact Ryan above. Also, if there's a subsequent problem there "could" be a warranty issue from the dealer. Your decision.

I have a 2015 so would I need to unlock or replace my ECM as the previous post mentioned?

Seems like a lot of work only to void your warranty

Yeah I am for sure waiting till I get a lift and 35's...I was just wondering if the programming had a tab for added weight and such. Thanks for the information and adding it to my list when I get tires/lift.
