Hard top broken

Yesterday I tried to install my hard top by myself, as a result I broke the rear window and also damage the back right corner. Someone has experience if that insurance covers it.

Thanks

Your insurance should cover it but there will be a deductible.. Depending on how much yours is it might not be worth the claim as I doubt they'd replace it. They'd repair it and replace the window.

Have a photo of the damage?

I'm no expert but I assume that will need to be replaced... Prob best to call your insurance co and see what they say..

I keep a $50 comp deductible on mine just for windshield replacements....

A quick call to your agent or company will clear up any mystery. If you have Comp coverage with a low deductible should be pretty straight forward.

You may want to consider a Harken Hoister once you get your top sorted out. I remove and throw my top on in about tens mins all the time by myself. Well worth the investment in my opinion. Good luck with the claim!

I dropped mine a few years ago. One side split almost completely from the top. I carry comprehensive because of windshield damage and only paid $100 to replace it. The dealership accidentally gave me a complete package with freedom tops and the stalk for the wiper controls. I told them I didn't need the extras and they said to just keep it. Insurance only paid for the shell and side glass.

It is not crazy bad damage. If your handy, you could always just get some fiber glass.

Practice on something else first.

falling object? would you need to "claim" there was some falling object that caused the damage? or would comp cover you damaging your own vehicle by accident?

So did insurance cover this?
Just happened to my friend and he's stressing out about it.
