Hard top protectant

Hey guys,
Finally pulled the trigger and got a new freedom edition last week. I get my lift n tires Tuesday and I'm pretty stoked.

My question is what should I do to protect the black hard top and black pieces on her. I have been doing searches and the consensus seems to be use aerospace 303 on fenders but is that good for hard top, hood latches and door handles too? Just wanna keep it from being beat up by southern AZ sun.

Thanks

I learned about 303 from the forum. I use it on everything including the hard top. I have been really impressed with it. It is a little pricey but worth it in my opinion.

I don't think 303 lasts as long as some other products. I tried Mothers Back to Black and it lasted twice as long as 303. There are lot's of opinions on these types of products in the forum.

The hard top is painted as opposed to dyed like plastic fenders. Although paint can fade, it won't fade as quick or noticeable as the fenders. I never do anything to my hard top because I don't ever see a difference. I do use back to black and turtle wax ice on my fenders and bumpers though to keep those black

As jkjeeper06 mentioned, the hard top (even if it's the basic non paint-matched one) is painted and is not just black plastic like the fenders. I use a spray on paint sealer on mine. Not for looks (i.e. gloss/shine/etc.) but to protect it from fading/oxidation. Takes maybe 10 minutes to do the whole top on an unlimited 1/2 of which is moving the step stool around and it's protected for about 4 months (with the spray sealer I use). Because it's a spray on sealer it's easy to use. Spray on, wipe/buff off with a costco microfiber towel, done.

What ICE do you use? The Liquid Wax or the Spray wax, or something else?

Will the TW ICE protect the dyed plastic like fenders and bumpers as well as Mother's
Back to Black or is the ICE primarily for the hardtop only?

Do you put ice over decals or avoid them?

I use them for different purposes. The mothers BtB is great for darkening them up and treating sun damage. The TW Ice is good for actually waxing it to prevent sun damage and makes cleaning mud off easier

Ice on everything on the exterior except glass and tires; top, fenders, bumpers, mirrors, hood latches, door handles, wiper arms, hood tie downs, hood bumpers, everything.

I have used "Pro Honda Spray Cleaner & Polish" on both of my hard tops (2009 and 2013). It is easy and quick to use and I have been very happy with the results.
