Harley Davidson Daymaker LED projector headlights...will they work in a Jeep Wrangler

So I'm sitting on the couch. The television is off...the wife is doing her college homework on the laptop...the cat is curled up next to her...and I'm perusing WF.

I've seen many-a-thread on using different lighting options available for headlights on JK's. Tonight I see yet another one. And suddenly I wonder.............

I have a 2014 JKU. I also have a 2014 HD Ultra Limited (AKA Rushmore bike). One of the Project Rushmore enhancements on some of the Rushmore models is a factory installed 7" Daymaker LED Projector headlight.

Then BAM! Suddenly it occurred to me...why not try 2 of them in a JKU? They're DOT approved, right?

As for performance on the bike they're awesome. Only real complaint myself and fellow riders have had is that the abrupt cut off of the projector leaves a large dark area WHEN NEGOTIATING A SHARP CURVE. This is a non-issue in a 4-wheeled vehicle.

So...has anyone tried this, or heard of it being tried?

If not, then I may be willing to remove mine and place it in the Jeep and see if it works. I don't see why it wouldn't though. I know of several owners of older HD's that have retrofitted theirs to this light.

You will need an anti-flicker device for use in the JKU (if it does not have one built into the headlight)

And here's a link. They're expensive, but sourcing them from the actual manufacturer should save some money.

They look like the JW Speaker evo1.

Edit: I think they are manufactured by JW speaker.

Probably cheaper to get the Evo2s

I didn't find anything at first because I used the enhanced mobile search. Just Google search WF and there it all is. And I know better...lol.

Evo2's if you zoom in and count the posts you can see this one is further away but lights up further down the road and way more foreground.

I love it on my HD. Especially coupled with the 4" aux lights. High beams are aimed too high, but honestly seldom need them because the beam pattern is so good on the low.

May get some for the Jeep and call it a day. May also add some 4" aux lights like on the HD.

They're JW Speakers. I don't see why they wouldn't work, but like anything Harley, I'm guessing they're more money than from JW themselves.

I've seen the HD headlights in a MB G-Wagon.

Like others have said, go with the JW Speaker-branded version.

Notice the JW Speaker pic on the bottom has snow-covered ground reflecting the light, where the top pic has light-absorbing dirt & grass. I guess they're hoping we don't notice the trickery :-/

It's probably a very similar light. The motorcycle application may have different optics due to using a single lamp and you'll need an anti-flicker and adapter harness to go from H13 or whatever trash is stock to H4 which is what that uses.

Just get yourself some JW J-Series headlights and fogs, more light then needed.
