Help with back window zipper

I can not, for the life of me, get the window to come out. I cant get the zippers to come off. Is there a trick to this? I have it unzipped all the way to the drivers side. Now im stuck.

At least you are on the correct side (driver's). The first time I did it, I was over on the passenger side about to break them.

I unhook the driver's side catch for the top completely, this takes the tension off the top. That along with the front top catches unlatched but still hooked. This works for me anyway.

Then I run the first ziiper all the way to the end on the driver-side. Then I just run the other around and smack it against the first one while following through.

There's other threads on here about the problem. There's also several good "how to remove JK softops" or "how to remove JK window" videos via YouTube.

Enjoy the sun, you'll have it off in no time.

I had a hard time as well and found instead of trying to pull the window down and out, I had to pull the other side. So instead of trying to get the window out, get the side it is connected to out. It's the opposite of what I thought. Don't know if that makes sense and someone correct me if I am wrong as it is pouring and I cannot try it.

as live_slow stated, remove the catch to release the tension., grab a zipper and take it all the way to the opposite end ( there's a zipper handle on the inside as well, might help), once both zippers are together, give it a tug downward to disconnect them.

you can also undo the sail panel to help you see better.

I did watch a couple videos, maybe I need one that shows it close up. I did as you did live_slow, but it didnt go, and now I cant get the first zip to even go back up to try it again. The second zip is moving but the first wont get moving back up. Its unreal how hard something as simple as unzipping something can be.
I have it unlatched and the sails are out. I am going to try again.
I did however take a break from that to put the spiderweb top on, it looks awesome, it will look better if my top isnt half hanging off the back now! lol

just make sure you inspect the lower left corner zip before you put the window back on. The teeth tend to bend apart near the bottom and then it'll be even worse next time.
