Help with purchase decision pls

Hi everyone, newby here..
I have the Wrangler fever and can't wait to buy one.
However, I will be using it as a daily driver (incl. a baby) and for weekend fun in the desert. I want the safest option for minimal road noise and vibrations and the AGGRESSIVE LOOK!

Here are some question you may help me out with guys:

1) What do you think about the following lift and wheel combo..
-- 2" ProComp lift kit, with...
-- 33" NITTO Gt tyres...
-- 18" XD rockstar all black?

What may be a better option?

2) Exterior colour can be tricky as they are all AMAZING, but I'm more of a black / white / silver kinda guy.

Appreciate your suggestions and help.

Many thanks,

Has.

Talking Come to the Jeep side!

You will walk by one and say to yourself..."The force is strong in this one" and that will be the one you will buy!

IDK about Nittos, but I am very pleased with the Goodyear Duratracs in terms of ride and quietness.

Unless you are buying a Sahara, I'd stick with 17" rims and tires: they are cheaper to buy, all things being equal they tend to ride more smoothly, and look meatier --which is a good thing on a truck.

If new, I'd go with Billet Silver or Anvil (sort of like a Battleship gray). If you are buying used, Granite Crystal (dark gray) was available in 2014.

Good luck,

Aldo

Thanks Aldo for the advise.
surely I never looked at it in this prospective before regarding the 17" look.

I would go with an AEV 2.5 lift vs. the Procomp to be honest. Other than that, I love rockstar wheels and 33's are a great size for a wrangler.

I have no idea about the Nitto's but like Aldo, I have the Duratracs on my Sport and I'm planning on putting them on my wife's Sahara as a result of my experiences with them in the snow this winter.

18" wheels are too big IMO. Especially with 33s, you'll have little sidewall. OK, I guess if you want the Hummer look.

Welcome to the club! 17" wheels are the way to go. They'll ride smoother both in and off-road and allow you to air down if necessary in the desert.

I would stay away from black. My last JK was black and you think dirt shows on a black vehicle, wait until you take it off-road in the desert and those dry branches scratch it up. I'll never own another black one. Personally I really like anvil, which is why that is what I bought a few weeks ago. But silver looks great too, especially with the right decals.

Can't help much on the lift and tires as that is a mod I will research more later this summer when I have saved up for it, but personally I like the 3" lift 35" tire combo, 33's just aren't much of a change from factory. And like everyone else said, stay with 17" wheels
