I want it--I want it now! LOL!

I'm so indecisive this is the jeep I really want, but can't find any information as to when it's going to be in production. Not sure if I should simply buy a used, temporary jeep until this one come to market or not....or should I simply get a custom decal that look like the dragon for the front & back tire cover.

This is sooooooo #$#&%^ HOTTTTTT!!!!

2014 Jeep Wrangler Dragon Edition Starts at $37,090

Any suggestions? Does anyone have any information about this jeep and production.

Thank

I'm not sure if the OP is joking. But if you're not, just a heads up, that particular factory package is likely the most hated of all in the Jeep community.

You do know you posted a link to a 2014 article right?

If you're referring to the Dragon Edition I'm pretty sure they only made it for one year and sold very few in the states.

Check out these links which will help you find them used:

In my love hate relationship with the Wrangler, today is a hate day. And just when I didn't think it was possible to hate my wrangler any more than I already do...I just pictured it with a dragon on the side

A used one of these was for sale at a dealership by me a few months ago. The dragon was gone, just the gold and black, and I thought it looked pretty good but it could be because I'm a fan of the old JPS F1 cars.

If I had one I would just replace the dragon with a chicken and have one of the coolest Jeeps around!

When we went looking for the wife's Jeep the dealership had one. The salesman tried his damnest to pitch it. He finally stopped when the wife told him that she threw up a lil in her mouth when she saw it haha.

The black a gold tone coloring seem pretentious to me. Don't like it on picture frames or bathroom furnishings ether. Never liked it even back in the 70's and 80's when it was more of popular thing. Today it looks more like something your local low level "gangsta" from the hood would have.

When you add the dragon to it looks like (to me anyway) the vehicles the Asian gang leaders thugs drive in one of those cheese kung-fu flicks you can watch on late night tv. Think older dubed Jacky Chan movies.

It's all opinion and this is just mine. If you like it you should ignore everyone here and buy it.

I could almost see the appeal to you, especially if you're younger, and came up through the current era of anime. They would've had better luck calling it the "Dragon Ball Z Limited" and traded out the colors for more reds or yellow accents.

For most of us older folk folk it feels like a bad melding of "Smokey and the Bandit" with "Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift" , not to mention the bad color matching of brown and black then a silver dragon, makes no sense.

Another no no for me also is a Wrangler to my traditional mind represent something rugged and capable to handle most anything you throw at it. The more leather, electronics, and "plush" things I see popping up my brain immediately just brands it as an H2 copy cat. If you have a wrangler you should be able to feel relatively secure in knowing that if your top is down and it rains you're not out a couple grand in fried gauges, radio's and interior. But that's just me.

@mrsuthern - you nailed it. I am a huge fan of anime's and this is exactly what the look and feel of this vehicle gave me. I also am a fan of the orient...put it all together....

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised at so many distaste of this vehicle and yes, I'm not one who is concerned with, "others" opinion but I am always open to learning something new.

From what I gather this vehicle not only didn't do well by cosmetics/design but, there has to be additional reasons as well; it concerned me that there are so many used ones being sold; ones with really low mileage and short owning history from private sellers. This has me to believe their might be electrical or engineering problems as well.

Either way it goes, that's enough for me to pass and go with my original thought process.

Thank you all for your honesty, and openness to share.

Namaste
