Question Issues with aev snorkel in winter?

I have an aev snorkel and was wondering if I need to take a precautions in winter and snow going down it? I know some turn it backwards to keep snow out while driving.

Suggestions?

Should I run a pre filter?

People run them in the rain so I think you will be just fine in snow.

It takes a lot of snow to equal the same volume as rain also.

Should be fine. I have the AEV snorkel and have both of he ram and the pre filter. Use the pre filter in the winter just in case.

I use the prefilter all year round.

Yup there is and when the weather warms up I will have to figure out something with it.
