Jeep crash and roll

I got in a accident on Monday and rolled the Jeep three times down interstate 26 in Charleston S.C. going around 65mph.
The good news is not a scratch. Amazingly and by the grace of God I wasn't hurt. The Jeep held together and protected me and made me appreciate how well these things are put together in the design room. To roll over in a car with a soft top, and it all stay on and protect me from injury is amazing.
When the Jeep stopped it was positioned on the passenger door and I was suspended in the air. I was worried the car could catch fire or get hit again, I quickly unlatched soft top and climbed out.
I'm sold on the Jeep wrangler safety to say the least Some good news is I get to go get a new 2012!

Oh brotha, thank God you're alive! What caused the flip? Someone hit you or a maneuver?

That's some impressive engineering. Especially for a soft top. Good job, Chrysler!

The whole thing occurred with a van having engine problems going 30mph and moving into my lane. I hit him on the passenger side(most damage) and because of my speed I flipped to the driver side. The front glass shattered with impact so as I was rolling I didn't know where I was. Only have a bruise from the seatbelt holding me in. I almost had the top down that day because the weather was so nice. I put it up that morning. Don't know if it would have changed anything but I'm glad I didn't find out. Also took doors off a few weeks ago and never put bolts back on to lock them in. but doors stayed on.
Again I'm very blessed that my three kids still have their dad. thank you Jesus!

Seeing this and the TeraFlex PreRunner #1 flip and crash in Moab makes me feel a lot safer in my Jeep... I had always been a little edgy about crash saftey after hearing many Jeep crash horror stories including from one of our dealership's managers. He was in Ocean City, MD on Costal highway (straight flat 6 lane) when somebody stopped short for no reason. He clipped a pick-up and plowed into a telephone pole. He woke up with his torso on the hood, waist in the windshield and legs on the dash. He passenger had his head stuck in the windshield but his hat kept him from going through. Also that was in a YJ in 1986 before anyone could figure out how the seatbelt worked! Glad you are okay and think hard on what you want options you click before you ordered your 2012!

I think Jeep has done a good job on improving these things for rolling and crashing.
My 2012 will have side impact airbags for sure. Didn't have in my 2010.

Holy crap also, wow!
Very glad you're okay!

Grab the trail rated emblem to stick on the other side of your new one if you can.
I would want to keep a piece of that thing.

Here's to a fine machine that went down doing its thing and keeping you safe at the end.

Wow.....glad you are okay. I work in trauma and have seen too many people not make it out of crashes that weren't as bad as that. Someone was watching out for you!

Emt's and State Trooper said that about 10 times. They couldn't believe I didn't have any injuries.
I have to say the people that stopped to help out and stay with me until ambulance got there was awesome. I had a off duty nurse hold my neck in place to make sure I didn't have a injury. You always hear about how bad people are but there are alot of very caring and thoughtful people in this world. Like all of you guys and this cool Jeep community. It makes me glad I traded my Audi Q7 for a Wrangler. Thanks again for the nice messages.
