JK skid plate system

Looking for some advice on a skid plate system for a 07 2 door. We do some rocks but not extreme. Seen Quadratec had an aluminum set. Any ideas?

Rock Hard 4x4 have steel or aluminum - I have the aluminum ones and they work great.

Don't do aluminum, eventually it will get bent out of shape

Get a Metalcloak steel skid system, replaces the crossmember too

I am happy with my Smittybilt Engine/Trans skid. Ill eventually get the matching evap and transfercase skid. I also need the rancho gas tank skid to complete the underbelly.

LCA skids should definitely be at the top of the list along with diff guards or HD diff covers. IMO, you don't need a full skid 'system' for moderate rock crawling. The stock x-fer case skid holds up quite well. An engine/trans skid along with a gas tank skid will serve you well. I'm also a big fan of a rear diff slider.

QTec has the Skid Row engine/trans skid on sale: https://www.quadratec.com/products/12529_109_07.htm

Skid Row also has some neat bolt-on front LCA skids (I used these before getting my Prorock 44 and I really liked them):

I also run the Smittybilt skids. Mine are beat to crap but they have done the job I bought them for. I'm in rocks whenever I wheel so aluminum was out.

Same. The price was/is right and they get the job done.

I run Smittybilt engine/trans and transfer case. Rubicon express gas tank. Poison spider Diff covers and artec lower control arm skids. Diy relocation on the evap. Pretty much the cheapest setup that can take a beating.

Also added a no-spill oil drain plug. Because changing oil with skids sucks.
