Jk wrangler tailgate reenforcement?

Is there a simple way to re enforce the tail gate? How do you get inside the panel ?
I purchased a smittybilt I Rack 2 that goes on the spare, I already have it overloaded with trail gear, when on trail the whole tire and mount flexs quite a bit - need to re enforce somehow?
Thanks
Paleo

There are several reinforcement kits with new hinges and external braces: MORryde, Teraflex etc.

Love the MORryde setup. Works well, looks good, Made in the USA and you can get just the parts you need (in your case hinges and tailgate reinforcement).

To solve the problem you have, the best option is both the HD hinges and the tailgate reinforcement. You'll find both the hinges (# JP54-003) and the reinforcement (JL54-016) at Retrofit Offroad: JK Heavy Duty Tailgate Hinge | Retrofit Offroad

Support the weight from under the spare tire. Use a dual hitch extender or an adjustable hitch upside down. The gate still opens.
