8700 Evolution J LED Jeep Headlights

edit - found them for less - Set of 2 JW Speaker Model 8700 Evolution 2 Led Headlight Chrome Version 0549711

No harness needed now right?

Headlight revolution is a pre order.
discountfleetsupply is the old model (which I have and love)

the J model doesn't need anti flicker harnesses, should have an H13 plug on them as opposed to all the others with H4 plugs.

Okay. Re-installed the tail lights. They still need more tweaking though.
....almost ready....

They come with these brackets

That you attach to the resistor

And you clip the bracket to the longitudinal piece of sheet metal inside the tub

button it up and declare victory

Less than 10 minutes. Need a #2Phillips, a #1Phillips, & a little wrench or a pair of pliers to hold the nut.

Those appear to be the current generation models, not the new J Series with the half halos and built in anti flicker circuits.

Works out to be a good price though, the seller seems to actually be JW Speaker too.

other than the half halo and the anti flicker is there much difference? I need some new lights so was thinking about these for headlights and the jw speaker foglights for my smittybilt bumper. Anyone have and feedback on the fogs?

Amazon.com: J.W. Speaker (0547981) LED Fog Light: Automotive
The 8700 Evo-2 and the J have the same light pattern. The Evo-2 needs the JWS adapter; I wouldn't use another brand or you might get a delay when you go from hi to low beam.

I have the fogs and they work great. Totally useless over 35 mph due to foreground light, but that's what foglights are for. Going slow in horrible weather.

Their new adapter works perfectly though. As does the J model.

It's worth mentioning again though. Some people tune in late, don't read the whole thread, etc.

I know who you are, sir.

thanks for the pm @Hilldweller .
Regarding the delay ... I know that @RubiconSS had a very long delay with the harness. I also used TL harness on my 8700 evo 2's and there's less than a second delay from Hi to low transition. I guess it varies ... very weird.

I guess it depends what capacitor they use in their harness, I have the rallylights harness and delay is about 1/2 a second I would say.

On a side note, someone pointed out this today to me today - looks like the "J" is available to order now - but I thought these were supposed to be priced less....

8700 Evolution J LED Jeep Headlights

No harness needed now right?
No harness ---- maybe the price is wrong on the website?
I think they goofed...
