I have a used jeep key i purchased on ebay for my 2013 jeep wrangler i replaced the key part and had it cut can it be wiped clean and reprogramed to work on my jeep?
This is a used key I purchased on ebay and I was told it needs to be reset before I can program it. Anyone know how to reset it or wipe it clean if possible?
It takes two good keys to program the third. If you don't have two recognized keys - you're going to the dealer.
You can get a new cheapo key (no buttons) off ebay for about $7. I hope you got a good deal on the used one. If it cut fine, the manual has directions - easy to program yourself. Sometimes you might need to do it a second time, but it always works - I've done a dozen or more.
