That gives me some piece of mind to have two companies standing behind these products!

Wow, you folded like paper! Very interested in this, but now that DV8 popped in and dropped their name, there's very little doubt in my mind that you'll be unhappy. Everything I've seen/heard about them screams quality.

If all of my pockets weren't empty from buying this Jeep, I'd be on this for sure...right after the new wheels, shoes, lift, headlights...

You get what you pay for, and in this case you are getting a chinese made thin-walled bumper. Some people care about that stuff, others don't. I'm not saying its bad quality or anything. I don't have any personal experience with them. Lot's of things are made in China that are perfectly good quality. Choose what matters to you most and go from there.

I like American steel and that's all I've bolted onto my Jeep.

All of our bumpers (and KO's) are made of 3/16" steel and .120 tubing with a powder coat that will stand up to a lot of abuse before chipping or scratching. These bumpers are tough I can promise you that.

I love my KO bumper, it's beefy, finish is great, welds are clean, the stubby weighed in at 78lbs, bolted right on, zero issues. By the way Espo most of the the American steel is exported to china these days,

What year jeep do you have? Just trying to figure out if I'm going to have to relocate the pump or not. Looking at that same bumper, how do you like it? Any more pics?

Is that Rear Bumper RS-4 a recovery bumper? What kind of pull (#'s) is it rated for? Where are the attachment points? Does mounting hardware come with it? (Grade 8?)
I like the price but I want to be sure that if I hook a winch to it that the Jeep comes backwards with the bumper.

Yes the RS-4 is a recovery bumper. It is rated for 5,500 lbs towing capacity and attaches to the frame at 8 different mounting points and includes 2 nut plates that connect 4 of the 8 bolts. The other four points pinch the steel up against the rear cross-member of the frame ensuring a secure tight fit despite the fact that wranglers frames can often vary up to 1.5" from each other depending on how hard you wheel. It comes with all mounting hardware (Grade 8) and 2 one inch D ring tabs to hold a 7/8" D ring which are also included with the bumper. You're not going to pull this thing off. We stand behind our bumpers and so does KO so if you do by some act of God pull the thing off it will be replaced under warranty.

Thanks for the quick reply and great info. I bought a Rugged Ridge front bumper a year ago and I like it but it has a pull limit of 8500# of the front d rings. Just curious if there is such a limit for the rear. I really like what I read and can see this being on my J/K. Thanks.

Yeah I agree, most steel products are being exported. I love this country and am about as American as they get but in this day in age it's a world economy. In order to stay competitive most companies are having to export.

You can see the prices for all of our stuff on KOoffroad.com, they're our number one online dealer. If you call the number on their site they'll often be able to discount the shipping, and tell them you're from the forum, they sometimes give specials to forum members. I don't know how they do it but they have extremely good shipping rates to customers as well.

PM me for more info on ordering from DV8 directly if that's the route you want to go. But we do not have an e-commerce site so you'll need to call and pricing will be similar.

In regards to USA made products, we are just completing our prototype JK bumper to be released this fall.

Fully made here in the States with 7 gauge steel, 2-part epoxy military grade paint, triple-welded D-rings and attached directly to framehorn to maximize winch pulling without fear, and integrated LED option. Bumper will have high-lift jack points and runs a sub-flush integrated winch mount.
