I just recently bought a 2013 4 door Jeep Wrangler Sahara unlimited. I want to purchase a lift kit but don't know where to start. I want somewhere between a 2-3 inch lift. I buy my jeep things from quadtratec because I have had great experience with them. Can anyone suggest a brand and lift kit that would be best?

It is my everyday vehicle and drive 99% of the time on the highway. I was looking at the 2inch OME heavy load but am not sure if it is the best or if it will be enough lift for me.

I'm looking to but one kit that has everything I need.

any help would be greatly appreciated. I've done a lot of research but can't decide what will work best for me.

Please Help!

Considering you have limited the choices to Quadratec I would choose this lift:

Teraflex 3" Sport S/T3 Suspension System with Fox Shocks

It is one of the most complete kits on the market. The only thing extra you will need is a drive shaft and you don't need that right away.

Just my thought, but if your going to be on the road 99% of the time, you may want to just go with a leveling kit. It will give you a much better look than stock.

Save your check book until you have much more time for leaving the concrete !

It all really depends on what you plan on doing with your rig and what kind of budget you have in mind.

If you want your Jeep to ride like factory on the road but be a little bit higher in order to clear some larger tires without breaking the bank, then I would go with a leveling kit like the Teraflex 2.5 in. Performance Budget Boost Kit w/ Shocks.

If budget isn't a problem and you're looking for a complete suspension overhaul with great ride quality both on and off-road then I would go with the JKS Jspec 3.5 in. Lift Kit.

The leveling kit would be the right choice if you don't plan on going off-road often and are more worried about on-road drive-ability.

The JKS kit would be the right choice if you want the option of having great on road drive-ability, but at the same time be able to pull over, disconnect the sway bar links, and take it out on some serious trails.

You can check out both on our website!

Thank you for all of the replies so far. I have heard a lot about the teraflex lift kits and am now thinking my best choice may be to go with them. I'm thinking the 3 inch with shocks but also now interested in the budget boost. I don't know if I'm more torn now than before!

have you considered the rock krawler stock mod from northridge 4x4? about $975 with rancho 9000 adjustable shocks. you will need to add (or make) brake line relocation brackets to it, but another nice kit for the money (mine will be here in the next couple days).:bop:

The OME kit is nice, and the 2 inch kit is plenty high enough.
However, I'd suggest for a mainly street driven rig, the AEV 2.5 inch kit is the best option. Especially when combined with a set of geometry correction brackets from either AEV or Rancho.

AEV 2.5" DualSport XT Suspension System for 07-16 Jeep Wrangler JK | Quadratec

American Expedition Vehicles - Brute Kit, V8 HEMI, Aftermarket Jeep Conversions, Products, Wheels, Accessories and Highline Kits for Jeeps (TJ, JK, WK, XK).

Or, if you are on a more constrained budget, I'd recommend the Rancho 2" Sport Kit over any puck lift or budget boost, especially with the 9000 series shocks. And it is very affordable.

Do the OME HD only if you're know you'll be adding steel bumpers, skids, 35 in the back etc, if you're not adding weight, she might drive a little too harsh for your taste. start with the light duty, and you'll have a much better ride, you'll get about 2.5" lift in stock trim with the LD coils, and about 3" with the HD coils.
I have the LD duty in the back, and HD front, but i have 400lbs extra total in weight, for a 2 - 2.25" lift, and have no plans to go up, if i needed more height, i'll do 37's, she drives so nice my tires are pumped to 34 psi for daily driving, that's not something you'll find in a lifted Jeep very often with 35's and E rated tires.

I have more than just coils and shocks though, but if you really want to lift a front/rear live axel vehicle, and make it handle as good or better than stock, and perform a lot better offroad, you have to do a little more than just shocks and coil springs., mine is a DD, 130 miles daily duties onroad, but it's also my offroad weekend toy, i bought it with that dual purpose in mind, and i've been modding it accordingly, i'm not even close to being done with it :), but that's another conversation we can have later on, you'll find it crazy everything you can do, and there is no way to keep yourself from not adding more, :drinks:

Have fun, don't be afraid to ask, don't be afraid to lift, but pay attention how you lift, you'll save yourself a lot of grief in the future.

Have fun.

We put the Teraflex 2.5" coil spring kit in ours with the 9550 shocks. Came with everything, decided to get front brake line brackets as it was a little tight and also a front adjustable track bar. That was it.

Looks great. And handles awesome on road. I've had it up to 145km/h (90mph) and still handles fine.

If you do 99% on road driving, I would go with the AEV 2.5" kit, and add the GCB's.
Awesome on road handling and the ride imo is better than stock.
Pricey, yes, worth it, I think so.
We have them on my JK, my wife and son's JKU's.
We all like 'em

tires

Hello guys,

I have a 2010 jk that has 18" sahara rims and nitto tg's on it. I wanted to know how much larger can I go on tires? Can I put 33's or 35's and if so which ones? (like what is the tire sizes) I'm not familiar with tires but I think I will need spacers? My jk sits a little higher than other stock ones I've seen but idk what kind of lift it has , I bought it used and the seller didn't know either. I attached some pic's, If someone can please help it would be appreciated.

You can run 37s if you use wheel spacers. Hell you may even get 40s in there, but don't hit any bumps lol

My JKU Sahara came with a 2.5" Coil Spring Spacer Kit and a Rubicon (red shocks and coils etc.) suspension. I'm wondering if I can add a 3/4" coil spacer on top of the 2.5" Coil Spring Spacer in the front to level it out. I also want to put a 1.25" body lift on it. I have 295/70/17 tires on aftermarket fuel rims currently and want to go up to 35's, I also have a stinger bumper and a smittybilt winch up front. Is there anyone who has ran this set up or that can give me advice on if it will work? I have searched around aot and have found very little info, and insight would be great.
