MOAB in Summer?

My pals and I were considering planning a trip to MOAB next year, and with kids the only time we could make it would be early June, due to school. Will it be to hot to enjoy or should we still try it. Any experience or comments are appreciated.

I've been in the middle of summer, it's hot but wasn't unbearable. If you in the jeep just keep the AC cranked and drink plenty of water

mid summer is a great time to be there as not many on the trail. I have been there in July and not many jeeps out. I have mountain biked there in summer and that is brutal tho. Temps currently are similar to what the temps are in Montana so go and enjoy just bring lots of water and sunscreen.

The local Red Rock 4-Wheelers are doing another event on Labor Day (September 4 - 7). I know that pushes close if not into the school dates but it would be a lot cooler. 150.00 get a camping spot, 2 meals, and 3 trail rides.

I did Moab last summer in July. It was certainly warm but not unbearable. I bought a Spiderwebshade and that kept the worst of the beating sun at bay with the top down. That and a cooler filled with drinks is all I needed.

I'm judging by your username that you're from Houston. If so, or even if you're just from anywhere south, the heat shouldn't bother you too much. It's a very dry heat. Just bring lots of sunscreen.
