Most costly "change of mind" mod

I did a couple of mods a few weeks ago that I may reverse/tweak

I am beating myself up about it, but Its my Jeep, right?

Will cost me about $300 after all said and done.

So anyone go through this also?

Tx

Its just $300. I have spent thousands on parts that I ended up not using and I dont feel bad about it

I am super picky when it comes to mods. Shoot it took me 2 months to decide on a lift. 2 months to finally break down and get my trek armour seat covers. Even my 40 dollar mirrors for when I go doorless, took me 3 weeks to talk myself in to buying. I research everything before getting anything for my jeep to make sure I won't regret it. I know. Excessive, but oh well lol

I research everything a lot too. And I come here for reviews and advice. Only thing I regret is the Harley mirrors I got for doorless days that didn't work. But I'm sure someone will buy them from me on ebay.

PS. don't feel bad about 2 months. It took me 2 years to finally pull the trigger on wheels and brakes for my mustang (and I already knew what wheels I wanted). And I still haven't installed them. >.>

Not a mod I bought, but a few I still need to buy. The decision was to buy a Sahara instead of a Rubicon. Now I'm having to build it up to run the larger tires and add lockers.

I guess $300 (net after selling parts) is nothing if I'm not "angry" when I look at or get in my Jeep.

On a better note - no regrets - installed heated seats and NavTV back up system in over the weekend.

Most expensive mod was ditching my CX-5 GT for a Jeep.

Totally get where you are coming from. I am the same way. I leave stuff in my shopping cart forever. On the plus side, I will get emails from those online stores offering discounts because I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Thinking about installing the NavTV back up system also. Are you satisfied with it? Any install tips?

I feel bad for not using my $27 dollar rugged ridge dash organizer . Takes up way to much space with an iPhone 6+ in it

Oh my.

This would be quite the list...

The radio gear has gone through many iterations. This is probably the most expensive. I went from the $30 handheld FRS to cb to an import cb and now to a set of aprs and hf capable ham radios with the associated licensing.

Many items of camping gear were purchased then donated either due to not being robust enough or not working well enough for me.

I keep changing what organisational gear I use for the back of the jeep.

Luckily, I've been able to learn enough about the mechanical stuff to not make any dumb decisions in that respect. I've been happy with the suspension, lights, tires, bumpers, and winch.

Very satisfied with it.

I lucked out and didn't install it - I was about to, but my girlfriend bought me heated seats (and install) for my birthday. For a few more bucks had the NavTV professionally installed when seats were

Hope this helps!

Mine was paying the 5 or 600 for the 3.73 gears from the factory. Then deciding on bigger tires and a re gear only a few months later.

Also the factory lsd, when I could've gotten a better aftermarket one for the same price only a few months later when I re gear.

No regrets getting a Jeep! At least not yet. I'm hoping mine is relatively flawless as opposed to the select few that are plagued with problems.

Reason? Weren't good? Didn't like color? I just bought new white headlight bulbs and I'm afraid when I put them in I won't be happy with the brightness or yellow look of the factory fogs. And I may change them too.

Front bumper in steel rather than aluminum. Not ditching it yet but I might in the future.

Ha! Same here, I even ordered mine with the 3.21s since I was going to "leave it alone". Yea, right.

$300 in Mods...... Hey at least they can't get you for Alimony!

Sell them/ Keep them/ You might change your mind - No Biggie in the grand scheme of things. I call that a "Cheap Lesson".

Rebuilding my 4.2l ($1200+) then deciding not to use it and go with an OM617 swap instead. Then scrapping said 4.2l after it sat long enough that the cylinder walls rusted.

I've got 3.73 while I wait for my new front axle with locker and 4.56 to come in.

I'm going to stick with the factory LSD for now. Maybe someday I'll replace it with a full locker if I go to 37s with 5.13s and my rig is strictly off road.
