My new wheels with a "rock ring"

Just picked up my new wheels and tires. Duratrac 285/75-16's mounted on MB 11's (from Discount Tire). These wheels were so new I went off a picture, and they weren't exactly what I expected but I think I am pleasantly surprised. There is a plastic (maybe UHMW?) ring bolted onto the rim edge of the wheel (looks like a beadlock ring). This is easily replaceable (they don't have the part number in their system yet so I couldn't get a price). So that's plus number one. Plus number two is that the bolts are Metric grade 8.8, which have a yellowish copper color. Turns out that matches my copper brown paint really, really well.

Those rings would look good color matched to your JK if feel like removing all 80 of them.

How are the wheels holding up? Have the removable rings held up to any off road abuse?

Nice, those look similar to the Level 8 wheels that also have the rings. Something like that is definitely high on my list for when I do wheels.

They've been off road but have not yet been directly gouged by a rock. But, they have certainly hit branches and other things, and (I just looked) no damage so far.

Wow, those look a lot like the Bully Pro's or the new Mopar beadlocks. Very nice!

Well, hit Hard Rock park in Ocala, Fl the other week and got a little rash on one of my Fuel Revolvers. Not that I really hot any crazy rock paths. The scrape is so minor so the wheels can easily be touched up but if it happens once it'll happen again. Hence, this takeoff rock ring or simulated beadlock ring just may be the ticket.

Get my girl dirty. Gets enough rash then just throw a new ring on, etc. Or keep a spare set for the dirt vs my daily commute.

FWIW, mine are 16's. This wheel + tire combo actually weighs a bit less than the stock Rubi wheels and tires.
