Need Hardtop Hardware

I am planning to buy a hardtop off craigslist tomorrow, however after talking to the seller they do not have the mounting brackets or bolts that hold the top to the jeep frame. I had a hardtop in the past, so I know what I need, the six brackets and then the bolts.

My question is do you think that my local Jeep dealership would have those in stock? I've seen online at Qtec and places that you can get aftermarket ones for around $50, I realize they will probably be slightly more at a stealership but that's ok.

The top is three hours away from me and since I don't have a truck or trailer, I would have to install it there and drive it back home. I cant do that without the hardware, thus I'm in a pickle right now.

If anyone has any suggestions on where to get the hardware, maybe at like a generic auto parts store (long shot I know) I would really appreciate it!

I would think a dealer would have it - maybe.

Another option would be to buy 8 or 10 C-clamps and use those to hold it on for your ride home.

That's a great idea on the C-clamps, I figured there must be some way that I could rig it temporarily until I got the right hardware. If all else fails with the dealer tomorrow this is probably how I'llgo. Thank you!

You're very welcome. Sometimes it just takes another prospective.

Ive driven my jeep on the highway with my hardtop tie wrapped to the tub. I know people who run it without any bolts at all and nothing happens, although and id stay away from that idea for safety reasons. Some standard tie wraps or heavy duty(better) will keep it in place. The two front panels will clamp on the front of the jeep and add extra security by holding down the back part of the hardtop too. Does it bring the two big screws that go on the header area?

I appreciate everyone's help. I think I'm going to try to go the C-clamp/Bolt and Nut route just to get it home tomorrow.

That amazon set seems like a bargain so good looking out on those. It sure beats paying 50+ for something so simple.

I knew WF would come through with some answers

Ordered the same one but with the D ring tie down set for it. Coming in from China it’s been 2 weeks so far.

i had same issue, bought a used hard top from a guy off CL... but didn't find out he didn't have the mounting hardware until i picked it up. I used zip ties to hold the roof for the drive home (45 mins on highway). then got the hardware from quadratech.
