The grenade shift knob would be cool except for shifting with it in heavy traffic. I mean...when the pin comes out in heavy traffic it will just add to 5'o clock stress. BOOM!

I would think that heavy traffic is EXACTLY the time you'd want a grenade handy.

Name something that got worse? No pulling the "if I had $40k I could make a monster of a TJ/YJ/CJ that would go further". All of those are well built machines.

It's nice to see some concepts with more creativity than Jeep showed at last year's Safari. The "AfricaRover" looks interesting...as does the Chief with its rear drop gate and the retro-styled Staff Car. They might actually have me with the Responder...I miss my Scrambler. I think they should donate that to Grand County Search and Rescue. I'm excited to see them in a couple of weeks.

I like them all. But I would put money down on a Responder, Chief or staff jeep if they made them.

Not really interested in things that have 0 percent chance of ever coming to fruition. But I think it would be cool if Jeep offered factory roof racks and winches as options.

I'd spring for a 2-door version of the Responder myself, most of all.

Oh c'mon. Haven't you ever dreamed over any of Harley Earl's concepts? Do yourself a favor and go to the Gateway Auto Museum some time. Amazing collection of real and concept vehicles.

On a cautionary note, don't go to Gateway and then expect to come over the mountain to Moab yet. There's still way too much snow on that road. We've had a couple of rescues/searches up there recently for people who tried to do just that.

I need these in my life! I think these are some of the better concepts they've had for a while.

I really like that Chief. I would love for Jeep to bring back a viable truck model. I had a commanche for a years, and it was a neat truck. Wish I never got rid of it.

I don't need 40k to make my TJ go further, Off road my tj will go further, for minimum 40k less....

Leaving this space open for when I have a minute to explain how paying all that money for something "offroad" is a joke, Great Mall Crawlers though.

If I wanted to buy a mall crawler, it wouldn't be a jeep

Does that Chief bring back memories. My fathers friend had an old Wagoneer back when I was a kid. It even comes in the same baby blue. Love it!

Tough choices for me: The Jeep Chief, the wood in the cargo area is fantastic! Jeep Africa, I love that gas can on the side.

Am I the only one that doesn't care for the Chief?

Now the Responder is something I'd like to see in person. The Africa is pretty sweet too.

I hate to type it all again so I'll quote my Wayalife post.

Quote:
What happened to the Stitch????

I saw on my phone "Red Rocks Responder", being a member of RR4W, I parked fast, grabbed the tablet and had to log in, got my password wrong the first time, finally got in, opened the thread, picturing in my head a Jeep that was responding to red rocks.

And I see a bastardized chevy avalanche. I just hear that "wrong answer" sound from a thousand game shows and video games.

I think I'm stuck with my TJ forever, and if thats the best Jeep can do it shows they dont listen to the long time supporters and fans, just the soccer mommies who want a better 'pretend it's a real Jeep" grocery getter. Maybe I should buy an FJ or a Defender.

I decided last year nothing but a stitch could ever replace my beloved TJ, but I never expected Jeep to make me self conscious about driving a Jeep, hopefully none of these get made and we can all be proud Jeep owners still.

Love the old school look and vibe of the Chief. The RRR is incredible just on storage solutions alone! Cherokee is still a bastardation of the nameplate. Staff car is pretty cool but honestly can't we all do that just stripping naked with soft top in conestoga mode, minus having a big ugly B pillar there.
