Oops, IPhone, anyways wondering if there Is a soft top to replace the front 2 panels on the hard top so that I can leave the back end of the hardtop on, reasoning for this is for when I go on vacations I can have the front off and not take up precious storage in the back but still have something in case it rains, sorry if dumb question. I know they have headers just don't know if I can gave it on with the back end of hardtop still on

His question being is there a softop pannel to replace the two freedom top pannels? And still leave the back portion of the hardtop on? Interesting and i have no clue...just put a complete soft top on is a solution ... Had the hard top on put the soft top on for the summer and im never putting the hardtop back on....

Take them off and store them in one of those funky bags in your Jeep incase it rains or you get sick of the *gasp* sun. Or like he said, take it off, store the whole thing ouside or in garage, and get a softy.

A friend asked me the same ?
IMO would look funny, but not a bad idea

He edited to add the question after I posted. There is not a soft top available for what the OP is asking. Even if he rigged a bikini top it wouldn't work with the hard top to be waterproof. The best solution is to either get a soft top or one of those freedom panel carriers that attach to the spare.

Yea would def be just for convenience hopefully wouldn't have to even have it on, but would leave more room for other stuff in the back. I'm going to visit my brother in a few weeks, who lives near ocean city, md and were going to assateague island. Just thought would be nice to have for the drive down. We have a 5 yr old girl and 11 mo. Old son plus my wife, so anyway we can make more room would be good

Daggo, I've read alot of your posts, been lurking for awhile trying to decide on the '11 or '12. What is the thing on the back of your jeep, is that called a Baja basket and how is that connected?

Aluminum Hitch Cargo Carrier - 500 Lb. Capacity

It connects to your hitch receiver. Are you planning on driving on the beach at Assateague? This is one of the few weekends I won't be going there. You will need to buy a $90 permit (good for one year) to drive on the beach. You will also need to buy a $15 day pass ($30 for the season). The beach is still closed after km24 due to nesting birds.

I saw one off those carriers on CL. Had to look close because the title was not described well. Interesting idea-looks bulky though. If your looking for extra space, it would work great

Actually there is something like that, Jeep Shade Tops, Wrangler Products | SpiderWebShade.com that will protect against the sun and can go under your hard or soft top. It however will not do much for heavy rain protection.
